High ranking Command Units tend to have a particular cruelness and callousness to their demeaner.

Their pay, their status and their existence depends on the extraction of Neon Dark.

There are levels to the operations of the company.

Individual - would be how the individual carries themselves, how they fight, what they do with their bodies etc

Low Level Tactical - This exists on a squad level usually manoeuvring units into positions to combat enemy units directly

Medium Level Tactical - The movement of multiple squads to Rotundas to meet requirements

High Level tactical - The movement of Rotundas to Caches to meet requirements (seldom used)

Low Level Strategic - Planned operations that directly support the extraction of Neon Dark.

Medium Level Strategic - Planned operations that support the functions of the sector which support the extraction of Neon Dark.

High Level Strategic - Operations that see the acquisition, capture (forceful) or retention of viable azologoth territory.

Sector Commanders deal primarily with High Level Tactical to Medium Level Strategic. But mostly Low Level Strategic.

Audrey's Low Level strategy was harvesting Neon Dark from sources outside of their held territory to maintain ample supply within their territory for when their numbers began to dwindle.

She knows that at the moment she has the numbers but an attack may severely deplete her stock. So while she is in surplus she can extend the extraction patrol range.

Her primary motivation for implementing this is maintaining her extraction bonuses.

Additionally the higher Neon Dark extraction rates will see her Sector Prioritised for resupply.

Thus bolstering her ability to support those operations.

However they do come under attack.

And its retrieve the Neon Dark at all costs, which she employs large numbers of Combat Units to ensure it gets back.

It costs many upon many Combatants to which she says "so what, that's what they're here for"
