My Thoughts on Suite & Sour

Its a fresh look I can get used to.
I am the world builder and story teller.
Photoman has been the window into my imagination with his camera for all of these years (7.5)
Lani stepped up due to photoman unable to shoot due to health issues.
I have wanted her to enter directing for some time. It was 6 or 8 months of planning into getting her into editing and we were still planning a few months away from beginning to take over shoots.
I asked her she said "I am so ready for this".
I thought it would be a baptism of fire for her. But no it was water off a ducks back according to photoman.
I take his word for it.
The episode for me was very enjoyable.
As you can tell perhaps, I am a connoisseur of this genre......I love zako. I love evil villainesses, I love costumes boots gloves, I love the zako shooting each other, readily sacrificing themselves for their evil mistresses. I love the danger, tension all that.
But I need story. I need the "why".
Why is Vanessa unhinged? Why is Lani (character) on and off unhinged?
Why do they join these organisations? How do they feel about things?
Everything behind the sexy woman in the costume I need.
I don't need to believe it.
I need to escape to the tantalising world sliced from reality by closing my eyes and imagining.
But I don't need to do that, I can come here and watch an episode.
Look at a photo. Read fan stories.
But then I can close my eyes and imagine what happens next.
Then script it. Then get the lovely ladies to act it out
I love this so much.
This episode was fresh.
Action pacing and camera work was all great!
She sees things differently
Lani did both the Filming and the post work on it.
For me personally its a big joy that she was able to do so well on the first go.
I cant wait for the future.
