Every day standards fight someone, or something, somewhere on the island.
Short sharp little blurts of skirms most of the time. Frequent squad vs squad action, then on occasion many will meet many.
Rarely does it involve LCU's.
Coming out of HQ sector, a select few will be moved into a Logistics Cache. There are only 2.
Operating ZT-90s and Cache Carriers, Mini Subs and ground vehicles the LCUs are onboard to defend the cargo and the craft.
Fortunate for their survival, Black Faction wants to protect their air assets. Losing a ZT-90 or a Cache Carrier is a disaster.
So what does an LCU do with herself?
They get to look out the side of the transport they're riding in, looking down at the terrain moving by.
A perspective reserved for very few.
Maller-9's trippy coloured sky, colourful night skies, multi coloured sunrises and sunsets.
She gets to feel the breeze on her skin every day, smell air that is free of dusty concrete.
After a year or two the excessive surface radiation exposure wears out the ORC and sometimes they pull their mask down, to really breath in the air.
They're not exposed to the brutality of the island and its economy of sacrifice.
They carry cargo to and from sectors.
