How did I end up with V-Corp

I did one contract with Black Faction. I started right after Mallera-Deep and wrapped up about 3 months after Shadow Sector Failed. I liked Vanessas vision at Black Faction and didn't want to stay afterwards. 

Vanessa had domination in mind. We could have controlled the island and just focused on Azologoth rather than fighting with CPD at every opportunity. 

So when I seen that she had started her own company I got ready to join.

I had been out of the zone for about a year. I was developing an addiction to Suite. Too much partying and clubs in San-Tag. I met up with some others from my sector. Old skirm stories, close calls all that. 

Sitting there in a bar drinking, bumping suite, reminiscing about some really crazy stuff. Basic Training, Skirms, a ZT90 crash fucking crazy Azologoth stories. But most of all how lucky we were to be sitting there after seeing so many go down.

For some reason it made me want to go back and that was about the time I heard of V-Corp.

I got straight back into the gym, cardio and some general readiness. I had plenty of skirms behind me so combat wasn't the issue.

I heard from someone they were splitting the forces into three types. They had general purpose Units, like the ones they use as fodder which are called Sentry Assets. The heavy combat type with are called Combat Assets and an elite type called Assault Assets.

When I did the test battery I came in just under Assault. I was a little disappointed but they said they don't offer the campaign contracts like to Combat type. 

They offered 4 year contracts and Campaign contracts. The 4 year is like with any company but the Campaign contracts have you attached to a sector sized unit called an Ops Block that is  assigned to a campaign. I don't know how long it will last but its basically the destruction of a BFC Sector. 

I took the Campaign contract and was assigned to Coastal South campaign. Its been good so far. I am grateful that I wasn't assigned as a Sentry because they do all of the expending pretty much. 

It looks like most of them are from Starcorp. The general tactic with them is just flood the area with them and overwhelm the defenders. Then we come in and clean the rest up.

Do I feel bad taking out Black Faction Units after serving with them for 4 years? No. Its a game  here, you play the game hard. You play the game for keeps. 

Both with Black Faction and V-Corp I thought about my expenditure every day, when it will come, how. Will I get shot, sprayed, will I fall into a zog, wrapped up tight and alive into the disgusting tube? I and the others know full well what we are doing for money.
