Smooth or not?

At the same time, I like to see *at least* a landing strip to remind me I'm looking at a grown-ass woman.

The more comfortable you are, the more it will show on your face & in your body language, thus creating a more impactful picture. Just my 2 cents worth.

2025-03-27 00:40:13 +0000 UTCGreat question — and something that I think needs to be discussed more in the fine art nude and boudoir photography communities. I enjoy both smooth and natural images. As humans, we all have hair, and that hair has a purpose. Aesthetically, I think many prefer the bare/smooth look, as unnatural as that is. As a photographer, I shot with models who have been natural more than those who chose to go bare. Personally, I never ask a model to do one or the other, I figure that is personal grooming choice of the model, and not something that ever express a preference for because I am choosing to shoot with the model and am good with however they choose to go. So, my answer is — go with whatever feels best and most authentic to you in the moment!
