Pre breakfast abs. I had protein oatmeal and fruit for breakfast. I'll crank out another long run today, then gym tomorrow.

I live in an area where not only are grits scarce but they don't eat a whole lot of greens here either....other than green beans...

you basically take corn, turn it into hominy, the dry them out, grind them up and then hydrate them back into grits....very similar to cornmeal and when hydrated, very similar to cornmeal mush...the corn is treated with a lye to remove the outer shell which makes them swell up as well...many years ago it was poor peoples food that ended up as breakfast food....commonly eaten with salt/pepper, cheese, butter, sugar and shrimp...and sometimes combinations of these...

Grits is something that has not been adopted in the UK. What are they? We have grit but that is ground stones🤔

oatmeal...that's one yankee thing I can't get into...I'm still a grits person...difference up here than down there...Walmart has three types of grits, instant, butter flavored instant and quick cooking plain....and 6 shelves of different types of oatmeal...thank goodness for online stores...
