Good morning. As we get closer to 2025 I know most of us tend to think about goals, and things we want to do differently. Fitness is usually a common goal for New Yearβs resolution. Someone recently asked me how I stay so motivated.
One way I have found myself to stay motivated in fitness is mindset adjustment.
When I was a personal trainer this is something I would always tell my clients:
If you look at fitness as a chore youβre likely to not prioritize time in your day for exercise. Excuses may come up allowing yourself mentally to push your time for fitness to another day.
However, if you look at fitness as an opportunity and as a necessity, such as eating, or sleeping, then overtime youβll just come to expect the pain of being disciplined with it as part of your day. Over time it gets easier.
For those of you struggling to maintain a fitness routine, try adjusting mindset, make time for yourself, and commit to at least 3 x 45 minute workout sessions a week.
βI have the opportunity to work out, let me take advantage of thisβ
