Behind the scenes of Funfair: 2016, pages 1 & 2

Ahh! A new year, a new attempt at this comic... And it turns out, this was the very last attempt before I made the final version of Funfair! Strap in, this one's starting to look awfully like the real thing...

The first two panels are very reminiscent of the final version! I'm pretty sure I used that same sketch while drawing it. For reference, here's what it looks like in the final.

The bottom of the page is much different. Conker and Banjo are just standing around; Conker's getting a drink of water and Banjo's ice cream is starting to melt in the sun (though this time it's an actual cone, like the previous versions). I will say, I do like this tall, side-by-side shot of Banjo and Conker. In fact, I almost like this introduction better!

The second page is immediately different. Instead of Banjo and Conker quibbling, they dash to get to a table in the shade, which just became free. Conker lunges onto the chair before other park guests reach it, crashing violently onto it! I'm pretty sure he loses his shoe in the process. Love that dual eye shot at the top!
