Tattoos are very popular with reptiles due to how easy it is to dye scales. Reptile fashion tends to use vibrant colours, and it usually shows a lot of body too, so anything that give scales an expressive or iridescent look is a good look.
Reptiles usually have their own cosmetics stores, clothing stores, beauty salons, etc... Although, those also originate from a time where reptiles were not allowed in other stores. Being a mammal and walking alone in a reptile salon might get you some scoffs and stink-eyes... Why would a mammal go there, without scales to polish? Almost none of the products will work on fur!
Some might work on feathers and beaks, which is why birds are usually allowed in both reptile and mammal cosmetics stores. But don't go using mammal shampoo on bird feathers! That's a big no-no, your feathers will get all scruffy! Birds need something more oil-like to lubricate their feathers and preserve their fine look.
Man... Fashion is hard.
