BNW one Afternoon

A client who hired me for some high key headshots was running a little late one day last year. Steph was assisting in the shoot that day. I naturally, had her stand in for me as a test subject. I turned monochrome on in my camera, (I just felt like the photos were more powerful without color here)

These shots are not much, but are a personal reminder to me of an afternoon we spent together doing what we both love doing, working for clients and creating together. I gotta admit I was a little bummed when the client did show up, I was just getting into a good creative groove with Steph.

Do you think the monochrome works here?

I really like the monochrome, but I think anything works with your model. All are excellent, superb - all the superlatives.

I agree m, the way the grey scale makes the picture so much more is amazing

The definition and texture on the back shot is superb!

I'm a huge fan of grayscale and true B&W photography. For some reason, I feel a lot more emotion and visual depth in the monochrome photos. But, as with anything art related, that a mere personal opinion. I do believe after seeing most of your work that you two can make most shots look awesome. And regardless of what anyone says: Photoshop does not make great pictures, the relationship between a model and photographer does. And of course skill...
