Here is a new edit, I just finished yesterday.
There is a lot going on in this photo but I think it works. The leading lines of the pillars, (a photography fundamental), the reflection, the contrast of the open and bright field vs the closed off warehouse to her right. These are all details that add to the overall photo. I'm not saying this is the best photo ever, just my attempt to apply some fundamentals. But as we know rules are meant to be broken.
When I edit a photo the first thing I ask is what does the photo need. What is my eye attracted too or what do I find distracting. Then I go from there.
Here I applied a Camera Raw filter, enhancing the rain and clouds, a basic exposure adjustment, and a color grade, followed by some separation frequency for her skin.
