How it was Made: Bodyscape

You have seen the second photo but during this series I took a lot of photos from a few different angles trying to get the look I was going for. The only issue was I was not quite sure what I was going for. I just knew it when I got it.

I originally wanted her full body in frame, but decided cropping in to highlight specific features was better. I had her arms by her side, but she stretched at one point while I was adjusting the light, and I really liked how when her arms were up her rib cage was highlighted, her breasts, and abdomen as well.

I wanted to crop for Instagram. I hate, looking back, how my work was affected by social media standards. Cropping, censorship, trendy themes. Staying true to your vision means something as an artist... so stick to it.

Incredible - more please!

Rickshaw

I grew up in Europe (Western part), so I grew up without censorship. After 17 years in the US, I still can't wrap my head around the fact that this is the only Western country in the world that still feels the need for censorship. Censorship had no place in artistic expression, but it gets pushed on so many platforms.
