Focused Perspective

I've been thinking a lot about crop factors when it comes to presenting photos or videos. Macro and Micro perspectives change a photo entirely. The crop factor adds to the focus and the overall message of the photo. This one photo can easily turn into a gallery. Social media, mainly IG, forces artists to crop in to a 4x5 format. Most of my video work for clients now has gone from a traditional horizontal or 16:9 format to a vertical viewing experience.  What are your thoughts on cropping? Do you like a closer perspective or more negative space around your subject?

I'm personally a fan of closer cropping for the kind of photos you and Steph create in studio. For outdoor shoots and scenery, I prefer a larger view, since it helps you set an atmosphere and the background is part of the story.
