Paint in BNW

People have asked about an only fans? No we don't have one. We want to keep it about the art. However, I wonder what erotic art would be like sometimes. When does erotic art cross the lines? Any ideas?

Given the creative differences you have had with Patreon (especially recently), maybe its time to reconsider an Only Fans page? Not everything there is pornographic and the beauty of the underlying concept is that it can be anything that you as the creators want it to be - people are posting cooking videos there now for example. It seems to me that it offers enormous potential as a creative outlet with very few content restrictions. Therr are of course administrative and business at stake as well and I know of many creators on Patreon who have an OF page as well to make the most of the advantages of each in both a creative and business sense. Worth thinking about?

thats great insight! I've always appreciated bnw work even in the digital world.

Also, B&W is so precious! My uncle was a professional photographer (70’s, 80’s) and showed me a bit of his craft, and explained how B&W is pure art, is someone’s deeply personal vision, as the world isn’t in B&W. It’s a great display of individual creative process. I love it!

Well said! I am still trying to find what that line is that should not be crossed.

To me, art exists to provoke a reaction. Is an expression of your soul. It’s a creative endeavor. Erotic art does that. When ā€œthe line is crossedā€ and turns into porn, well, you know it when you see it.

I remember seeing that! I think artists have always had the job to inspire, whether that is emotion, or change. At first when I saw her do that, I was just thinking it was some form of extreme protest. But thinking about her form expression and the change she was trying to inspire, honestly has had some impact on my work. Nudity should not be labeled as something provocative, especially in art.

Art is meant to provoke conversation and The nude body especially a Female one is a great subject that has caused controversy for Centuries, you only need to look back to 2014 when artist Deborah De Robertis displayed her vagina in front of Gustave Courbet’s painting L’Origine du Monde at the MusĆ©e d’Orsay. The world was shocked at the flagrant display of a woman’s genitals in public but not at the painting! Personally I thought it was Fu##king amazing! Art is whatever you want it to be, whatever label you want to use is fine. Whatever you and your model determine is acceptable is acceptable. You can’t please everyone and I can guarantee there’ll be someone who disapproves of some of your photos already!

People aren’t ready for that šŸ˜‚

Lol no no no..no offence intended. I wasn't inferring you be 'involved' at all.

tasteful erotic art is what you describe and i also agree posing is everything when it comes to art vs porn

thanks for sharing. And to be clear i would not be in any photos haha. I think to me erotic art suggestive poses and anything that forces the attention towards sexual themes. I agree, that that sort of thing should be carefully portrayed if at all.

I love your art. Not just with Steph. And I'm sure you both had long discussions before you hit the Patron concept. I'd personally be very reticent if I was in your shoes, If it was my partner. I think that it's deeply personal and I'd keep it that way. That's my thoughts. Obviously you will both choose what is the best for you both.

makes great sense, thanks for the insight

To me, erotic art is still art until you start to introduce activity. Not sure how to eloquently say it. Models showing close ups of themselves, even multiple models in close proximity with activity "implied" I feel is still art. When a prop or another model is actually touching, rubbing, spreading, etc., that is when (just in my opinion) it starts to veer from art to getting porn(ish). I hope that makes sense.
