Tekken 8 Cosplay: Ryoko (World Heroes)

Well, well- it's been a while since I posted a T8 Cosplay, but here we are yet again. This time we dipped far back into quite a classic fighting game from the mid-90s. Back then, we had a ton of 2D fighters trying to make their mark in the booming beat 'em up genre. World Heroes had a pretty cool schtick- just take archetypes from all over the world, from various times in history, and just let them beat each other up. So you had everything from historical ninja, a fantastical version of Joan of Arc, a tribal witch doctor and a cyborg german soldier to a lecherous monk, barbarian warlords and more getting into the mix. I always found WH to be pretty cheesy and preferred more serious(?) fighters, but it was successful enough to get several sequels at least.

Among the game's roster, of course, is your cute female martial artist from Japan. Ryoko Izumo was raised by her grandfather and trained in the arts of Judo and enters the World Heroes tournament to test her skills.

This is a pretty straightforward cosplay using Asuka, equipping the Chisato hairstyle with a hair extension and the rose accessory for Ryoko's iconic side ponytail. The martial arts gi and bottom go with the more recent foot wraps and we're done (of course, the wraps need to be unlocked in the current Battle Pass, which I highly recommend since the wraps are supported by out Tekken 8 Female Feet Overhaul's latest update).

Pretty conservative outfit, but at least she's barefoot (semi-barefoot) and karate/martial arts gi fans should like this character. FYI, there is another Ryoko character but from the somewhat controversial Fighter's History which is actually the one I prefer since she's a bit more grounded design and is fully-barefoot. I'll try doing FH Ryoko in the future, but for now, I hope you all like this retro blast from the past babe. Expect to see a vid with her and maybe a KO soon.
