Waking up in an unfamiliar place, she knew immediately something wasn't right. Detaching leads to the sounds of alerts and warnings, she quickly got off the medical table and retrieved her nearby belongings.
"What had they done to me?" She thought as she began putting her leg through the hole in her suit. Pulling it up over her hips the familiarity wore off and something broke her from her thoughts of escape from this unknown place.
"Why is this not fitting?" She looked down and for as long as she could remember, she knew what it felt like to pull this suit on each time. Her hips were causing her issues and she began looking around the room, her suit stretched at her waist and she realized some sort of tests had been going on.
The sound of approaching footsteps broke her from her thoughts, and she muscled the suit over her hips and once again donned her boots to complete what is like her second skin... that shrunk in the wash.
The airlocks releasing, she quickly hid behind a container. The medical professionals entering came in discussing something she couldn't hear until the words "recent injection" rang in her ears. Feeling behind her neck, she found a small tape that covered what must have been where something was put into her body recently.
The doctors began to stir as they realized the room's occupant was nowhere to be found and the static of communication devices became prevalent as panic rose and Samus took this time to make her move.
Leaping out from behind the containers these doctors or scientists were no combatants and easily they were knocked to the ground. One of them immediately unconscious, Samus took the key card that was draped around his neck. As she went to exit the doctor still catching his breath shouted "No, don't go out there! Physical exertion will only exacerbate the effects!"
The key card bringing on a green light as the large door swung open, Samus turned around to see the doctor hitting a large red button.
"Dammit." Was all she muttered as the door started to slam shut. Jumping out, the sounds of metal doors slamming all around told her time for escape suddenly became short. From there she broke into a full sprint. The door at the end of the hall was closing slowly as a sort of heavy metal barrier was making the corridor that much more contained. Sliding down, she narrowly made it under the door that locked with authority behind her. Standing up she saw a woman who was not expecting the young heroine to come screaming into the room.
"You aren't supposed to be out here!" She said, reaching for some sort of Comm, Samus lunged out for the woman, making her way quickly across the room.
Suddenly, as she caught up to the still dumb founded woman, she heard the tearing of her suit. Grabbing the wrist of the small woman, Samus realized she was growing.
"You have to remain calm!" The woman shouted. "You will put us all in danger if you continue the way you are now!"
Samus released the woman's arm, breaking the communication device, and took off running down the corridor behind her. The woman, thankful to not have been harmed watched the lumbering woman in blue slowly expanding as she made her way down and out of sight.
The next door, closed and sealed left Samus with no escape. She approached the heavy steel door, covered in warning tape and clearance notices that, for most, would warrant a detour.
She banged on the door with her hands. She stepped back and kicked, and then kicked again. As she began laboring in her breathing, she realized what she thought was true just before. She was growing. The suit, now visibly torn was failing to contain her frame. Her feet, while roomy as her boots were, began to test the limits of what they could hold. A few more thrusts at the door and with her increased size she was able to begin breaking through. Taking a few steps back she got a head of steam and when sending her body at the slight opening, she had put in the door she exploded into the next corridor.
"There she is!" shouted a man.
"Grab her!" shouted another.
On her hands and knees, she looked ahead, and these would be captors were eye level... as she now crawled into the cramped tunnel aware of the threat these biohazard men posed.
"Give her the biggest dose we have!" Shouted the one closest to her as he turned around only to catch a fist larger than his head to the stomach. In pain, he falls to the ground as Samus lunges across the space between her and the man drawing some sort of sedative. Grabbing him by his waist her recent exertion had his torso fitting in her grasp. Her grip was tight as she yelled at him. "DROP IT!" Her voice filling the tight space.
The man didn't respond. At least he didn't response to her demand. The grip she had on him was only made possible by the ease to which his ribs began to give way. Unable to say anything he weakly dropped the shot in his hand. Satisfied he was neutralized she smashed the syringe with her hand and crawled on to the next door. This one less of a challenge, she wondered just how big she would need to get to finally get out of this unknown laboratory...
