It's not a media player file, you for some reason have that file association set to open with your media player. Just extract it with 7z as normal

Then the files are corrupt or you did not extract properly. Try redownloadin, and when extracting make ALL of the files in the .7zip are extracted to an empty folder.

Follow the instructions closely and you should see a heat folder with the .exe and the rest of the files in it.

You need SteamVR, and most SteamVR tutorials should be applicable for you. If you're using Oculus look up how to get it working with Oculus

then you need to figure out what's wrong with the extraction. Make sure you're using 7zip and following the instructions right click verifyintegrity.bat and run with powershell to make sure all the files are correct

it wont extract any assets and when the game loads up its the bedroom but with a blank grey box and interactive buttons highlight but nothing is writtin in them only the glowy outline

If you go into steam, and click on games in the top left, one of the options is to add a non steam game to library. If you dont see heat in the list, click the browse button and find the exe in your file browser.

You're not extracting all the files, you need to extract everything in the 7z to a clean folder. Use the messaging system if you want a refund, not comments, however this problem is easily solved

The auth token mean you don't need to go the the Patreon site each time, but it still checks the token each launch. I want to make the auth fire only once per system in the future, but it'll require some time investment.

When you get your authentication token, is internet/patreon site availability required or can it be run without anything extra? Couldn't do anything because Patreon went down last night and my token expired. Are there any plans on having a different setup or at least a backup?
