Check-in + Readership poll + note about Scorching

Hey all!

I hope everyone's handling summer well. It's getting pretty hot and humid out here. But I just don't go outside, so that helps. A little.

Might need to put the AC up soon.

Anyways. This had been a great year and thanks to the advance I got for singing Undersea and Scorching, I managed to get a lot done ever since October, but soon... I might need to make some life-tweaks, at least until the financial side of things stabilizes.

I won't bore you with the details (yet), but I'm working on something new, and depending on that project's success, I either will be able to continue to do this full time, or I'd need to get the old dev job back. At least temporarily, which would impact the productivity. But we're not there yet, so let's not worry about it too much. We'll know in like... 3 to 8 weeks. In a week or two, I'll be done with the edits of book 2 of Undersea and I'll be able to get started on this new attempt. I'm pretty excited about it.

For those curious, it's going to be a slice-of-life-y OP protagonist, and I'm hoping it'll be something chill to write and have fun with. If y'all like it, all the better. And if it doesn't work out, then too bad. But I def gonna stay away from stats and heavy system screens this time.

Keeping track of that stuff is... rough.

For now, and considering I'm prepping for this new project, I'm trying to organize things a bit and so I'm trying to get a pulse of who reads what. If most of you are just here for just one of my stories, it might be worth re-thinking my model a bit, especially if the time I have available for writing takes a hit in the future. If we get to that point, it might be worth doing a tier-per-story, that way y'all don't get spammed constantly.

I'm not changing anything just yet! But I'll definitely tell you if I need to. So, please vote! Tell me what you're here for. That information will help me make the best move in the next few weeks, if it turns out I need to pivot.

PS: Scorching needs a little time to cook. It might be up tomorrow, or it might go to Friday. If it's gonna be up tomorrow, it would happen around 11.25AM EST

PPS: Trying to get back to an exact schedule. But I'm not gonna set anything in stone just yet until I've got a better long-term visibility. For now, I'm gonna try to always have the chapter out by 11.25AM.
