2024-08-25 16:41:02 +0000 UTCThe only wish many of us had while watching Build Up live (or more specifically right after each episode was released) was that few of the Top Tier got to sing with each other. We wanted to at least see Je Up, Donghun, Jay, and Seunghun or Bitsaeon (or insert your favorite here) sing together once to see what that collaboration sounded like, etc. However, once these groups were formed on this particular episode there was a lot of excitement because of the unexpected combinations, and the "all rounder" angle from Jay's team. As hard as it could feel in a pressurized situation like a survival show, I actually was supportive of the conviction Je Up, Jay and others took to form a group based on a vision and/or strategy --- it's a competition all about discovery (with vocal blends, harmonies, etc.) and becoming a 4 member vocal team that you can chase your dreams with. For Jay and Je Up that's about having the drive to not just be focused on one genre or what you might already be known for. My two cents.
