i would really recommend watching some fancams of matthew during jelly pop!! he's such a phenomenal performer and it's really a shame that he didnt get any screen time during the official cut of the performance since he really kills it!! he's a super clean dancer and the show didn't really show that at all tragically

Jay too.. :< and guess what Jay and Matthew are BESTIES (also Kamden) they are the North American Trio I hope they had a better line distribution like this song is so good but I can't enjoy it because matthew was almost not in it :< even in the ZB1 version.

I feel like that sometimes is lacking or not shown as much on other survival shows (at least ones I’ve seen) and it’s such a lovely thing and I’m glad they highlighted it in the finale

2024-03-13 21:21:54 +0000 UTCabsolutely foul the way that they put short king keita next to ricky and then had to pan the camera down to him. jelly pop is that girl she's that song she was the MOMENT (until the actual Moment iykyk). my bb gunwook absolutely shines in this kind of concept and sure he had like 2 seconds of screentime but my other bb jay got to be on my favourite bp song so I'm happy. I'm kind of indifferent to hot summer and I don't think it's bad or anything but it doesn't do as much for me personally compared to jelly pop. mostly I just really really want jongwoo's jacket. final thoughts for this part: 𝓂𝓎 𝒿𝑒𝓁𝓁𝓎 𝓃𝑜𝑜𝓃𝒶

Hoetaek sounded so good. Reminded me his vocals in Triple H. So beautiful. Kamden did well . "Hot summer" Sung Hanbin , Jiwoong were exceptional . I can't believe sometimes how good Sung Hanbin is . He must've practiced dance really hard. . Jiwoong is very talented actor , so good at expressing song . Did Taerae improved his stage presence and dancing skills? Suddenly I seen him more clearly . And I liked what I seen. Yujin performance was clean.

But BUILD UP is somehow an even better survival show. The performances are top TIER and there are so many familiar faces from boys planet and i-land. A lot members from groups that you already know and like so I definitely recommend you to watch It.

Not having water while filming, or being prohibited to have even smallest snack , or move your body from being stiff after sitting down for hours.

2024-03-13 12:01:10 +0000 UTCalso most people who dont make it in the group, (or were elimanted before) just like in iland, are now in other groups, (from small companys, so more underrated and not many people know much about them, like if it would be from a big company, or if they would have made it in the final line up) go solo, or are in another survival show. like "howling" is the show who made &team and has people like k, ej ect in it. (i dont think you have watched it, you maybe could when you want to react to another survival show, since boysplanet is over) and other people there maid it in small groups like, just b and 8turn. (not all of them tho, like daniel isnt in the kpop scene since iland ended, and idk what happend to people like seon) 2-3 from boys planet are in build up right know, another survival show that airs right know (its just about singing, no dancing, just a vocal group) (would also be fun to watch, since you like the boysplanet guys who are on the show and there is also geonu from iland ) girlsplanet was also fun, but the group is gonna disband this year, so it wouldnt be as fun to watch it i guess) and 2-3 other groups are made from boys planet guys. the ones who didnt make it, also stayed in the groups from before boysplanet. at first i wasnt 100 fine with the lineup, but i love zerobaseone. i maybe would have changed 2-3 members, but in generell i like the group.

2024-03-13 11:44:59 +0000 UTCcrazy that this is the final already. survivalshows are always stressful, and mostly when youre fav doesnt make it. thats why i mostly watch them after they aired. that i already know who is in the group, still stressful but a little less. boysplanet was the only one i watched live. kingdom wasnt a surival show, and iland and girls planet i watched like you years later.

2024-03-13 06:28:16 +0000 UTCSeeing the performances again solidified my initial thoughts - the Jelly Pop performance was a group performance, the energy was coming from what the trainees were doing together as a group; the Hot Summer performance felt more what the individual trainees were doing when the spotlight was on them rather than a cohesive performance. That may be the fault of the choreography as there was a fine balance between highlighting the trainee (and the camera needs to follow them for that highlight) and pulling back the camera to show the group. But I felt the difference, if that makes sense. Yes, certain trainees' performance will shine more than others, that's to be expected (e.g. Hoe Taek in Jelly Pop, Ji Woong in Hot Summer) but that happens with idol groups as well but the group doesn't suffer for it. Son Sung-deuk made a comment on that in his Dream Academy show, to learn to modify your performance in support of the member that has the highlight whenever that happens and then turn it on when its your highlight. It's a flow, the balance changes. But your energy doesn't change - it has to match between the members. That's what I'm trying to convey when there is a group choreography.

Really loved this performance - this unit scored with this song.

2024-03-13 02:48:45 +0000 UTCicb i watched this live straight from 4am to 9am i was watching this shit from when i should be asleep to when i was CLOCKED INTO WORK. i then promptly asked off the rest of the day sick LMAO i felt you so hard when you said theres not enough spots lol especially bc the previous male seasons of this resulted in 11 member groups. like oh suddenly theres more promise than EVER and ur giving me 9 instead 😒 hot summer is so perfect it still surprises me today fr. jiwoong was alight, alive, the song itself just like someone else said. the fancams of him from this performance are crazzzzy. i also feel like i saw taeraes tilt into truly being an idol through it rather than just a vocalist, just overall so good. phew waiting until next week is going to be hard!!! but probably for the best bc while its exciting n fun it comes w a lot of nerves n sadness too.

Both songs are amazing and I still listen to them (all the boys planet songs actually) almost on a daily basis. I just can't move on from this iconic show.

2024-03-13 01:32:18 +0000 UTCno bc i live in la and i was like okay i’ll wake up for the live finale! and i ended up watching from 5 am to 9 am,, i was a VICTIM. this is fully my bias talking bc i loved my one pick, but jelly pop is my everything and i thought gunwook was incredible. i mean, since i had terrible gunwook tunnel vision during the show i always knew he was very versatile and i wasn’t at all surprised at how well he did. he got a lot of parts and pulled off the concept so well. he really stood out to a lot of people who didn’t have him in their top 9. i ended up watching their performance a million times over and jelly pop ended up on my spotify wrapped. kind of humiliating lol. i also loved my glittering star hao. his, seungeon’s, and hoetaek’s vocals really filled up the track so well. you have to have a really strong voice to sell that chorus and all three of them were great. hot summer hanbin and ricky were an entirely different beast. they looked good, sounded great, and they both knew it.
