2024-02-13 08:37:02 +0000 UTCphew 😭 ive seen this first ep like 5-6 times and i still cried when you got all choked up. while this is a show that can get emotionally exhausting due to it's content, its one that does it with purpose & reverence. its rare to watch something that feels like it has every inch imbued with artistry and intent rather than just trying to get you to a bigger plot point or trying to become a brand. this show is that rarity though i really appreciate that they let you as a watcher get into her headspace without her 'telling' through these stories & even embedding her writing style into how she speaks looks moves and the videography itself separate from the isolated storybook. without spoilers theres more amazing book tales to come

They tackled mental health, finding one's purpose, and just the idea of loving yourself so so good. You'll realize why it's an Emmy nominated series for a reason.
