If I could recommend any BL, it would have to be "Not Me" from Thailand. That show was so well written, directed, acted and everything else in between. The romance isn't overly dramatic and it has a lot of action, crime, mystery and plot twists without it being too much. The love story is sweet and genuine (the flag scene is my everything). Even if you don't watch it for content, everyone deserves to see this show at least once in their lives.

I was thinking the same thing the other day. Word of Honor or Untamed (though WOH is much shorter). Costume Historical Dramas are not for everyone, but with the knowledge he likes shows like Twilight, Harry Potter and Catching Fire… WOH and Untamed would be much enjoyed I think 🤔.

For a really sweet and obviously autistic character in a Korean BL, check out Light On Me. It's a high school coming of age story with an autistic main character. The way the show treats him warms my heart. The show is the opposite of steamy but it's thoroughly gay. There's a great deal of yearning. And for a light-hearted show with, eventually, the most actually-they-really-like-kissing-each-other scene... Featuring none other than Jiwoong, you know, the stunningly handsome guy from Boys Planet? Roommates of Poonduck 304. There's a behind the scenes clip to watch after that will make your gay little heart just about explode. Jiwoong is impossibly beautiful and should always kiss men 😁

I disagree, but you have a right to your opinion. All Thai BL have mediocre scripts, but the acting in Kinn Porsche was decent. Unfortunately Korean BL don't do NC scenes well. Despite ok writing and bigger budgets... the lack of sexy scenes is a bummer. NO one watches a BL for a fantastic plot...

There are a lot of good Thai BLs, Bad Buddy is also great. I do think KinnPorsche is great but as you are dealing with bad guys in the mafia, the characters can get very morally grey and do inspire some discourse so you have to be ready for that. I second Only Friends as well. Not Me and Never Let Me Go are great too.

A lot of things are triggering in kinnporsche and even without the triggering parts, i wouldn’t still like it. And love in the air is just a basic wattpad plot drama for me, i left that phase in 2018 😭 idk everyone thinks differently and ofc im not gonna argue w that, everyone can watch whatever they like! ❤️

I agree with kinnporche for different reasons - the noncon stuff can be very triggering. I didn’t watch much of it for this reason and I had to somehow keep YT from recommending me clip after clip of the noncon scenes. Love in the Air can be a bit cheesy, but I still enjoyed it for the most part. The two different relationships were interesting and there was something for people who wanted a more serious relationship and people who just enjoyed the power dynamics of the first one. At least they handled the before mentioned topic better (I only skipped that one part where it was actually happening, which was horrifying to me).

sorry to these people who commented but i personally would not recommend kinnporsche and love in the air. They both cringe me out sm and it’s not very good in my opinion, theres many good shows out there, i’m just being very straight forward!
