2023-11-23 21:54:00 +0000 UTCi can't believe we're at the end?? it has been soooo much fun to watch this with you, cam! and so exciting we've finally finished a show together! π literally biggest ups to seungmin, like seeing the kingdom performance now but also seeing where he started is mindblowing. and so true re: changbin, like he's almost like a sub-leader. always got the team at heart, great with producing and directing the kids, and great principles. and finally FINALLY getting those chan compliments, like jfc jyp it took you 10 episodes. there's that moment after the announcement and minho and felix hug each other, and the first person felix goes to after is chan, and its the sweetest thing. and then it pans to both felix and chan's families and just, ugh, we've come a long way. hearing that we got skz mondays is amazing! i'm so excited for this journey, cam π there is the skz code variety show, but i would recommend watching finding skz season 1, first (it's on kshow123!). it's another variety show they did before skz code, so its good to watch things in chronological order! we also get to see chan take the kids on a tour around sydney, which was really fun!

2023-11-23 00:05:33 +0000 UTCCan't wait for the SKZ Code content! For me, I'm not always caught up with Stray Kids. I wander away for a few months and come back to their songs. I realize I don't listen to SKZ when I'm feeling down or moody. I usually listen to them when I want to be hyped up or when I'm hyperactive and want to run around the room. Most of their songs are super energetic and so I think that's why I phase in and out of the SKZ phase. I can't be energized as long as I probably want to lol.

2023-11-21 10:38:50 +0000 UTCIβm so glad youβre keeping mondays as stray kids days, I always look forward to these :) aside from stray kids code and 2 kids room it would be super fun to throw a music video of performance in there from time to time, I reeaally wanna see your reaction to the red lights mv and ot8 performance if you havenβt seen them already

2023-11-21 00:44:58 +0000 UTCAbout changbin.. in an interview even SKZ themselves said that changbin is the core of the group (I think chan said that) so youβre right! For hyunjin.. his parts are mostly rap even now but i think heβs an underrated ace As for my bias chan I would literally die for this guy he deserves the world ):

2023-11-20 18:27:58 +0000 UTCBesides SKZ Code (I guess the variety show you're referring to), I'd recommend 2 kids room (the 2022 series) because they do every pairing in the group and you can see the different dynamics between each member. It's fun to learn more about each of them, and hear what the members have to say about each other too. That's where we learn how much Chan leans on Changbin and how his emotional maturity makes him understand the rest of the members best and I just love hearing his insights on every relationship dynamic ahh (can you tell he's one of my biases). They're going to release something similar end of this month too! But this upcoming one is just 8 episodes (the 2022 2kr has 56ish eps) and this time instead of just chatting, it will have singing too, so we're so excited for that. Besides that, maybe you don't have to react to this, but since you're a musician yourself, you'd really love all their album Intro videos. You get a glimpse into their thought process of each song and it gives you so much more appreciation of their music in general as they are recording and being directed by 3racha.

2023-11-20 18:20:37 +0000 UTCI understand what you mean by Changbin is who you think about when it comes to SKZ, I guess in particular their music. His voice is so powerful and when he kicks off with a "bintro" it usually means the song is gonna be a certified banger. He also comes up with the key ideas that make things memorable thanks to his wordplay, like changing Elevator to Hellevator, coming up with the NoEasy/noisy pun, and so many others. They really always praise his genius and he deserves it!

2023-11-20 18:14:40 +0000 UTCI love 2PM and Jun. K so much. You should check out more of their stuff if you get a chance! They are also the OGs of making JYP's life a living hell, which I always appreciate. There's compilations of "2PM give JYP a headache" that are pretty great. It got to the point where JYP wouldn't pick up Taecyeon's phone calls There was also the time they broke Taec's arm while arm wrestling and called JYP from the ER and JYP just went, "Why the HELL are you guys like this?" Also, the time Taec went live from the streets and ran into the JYPE building and started making fun of JYP the whole time, to the point where Jun. K has to pull up and be like, "STOP. You are shutting down Naver." Writing this all out.... I'm realizing how much of this is Taecyeon being a menace. Makes sense he was the first one to leave the company lmfao

2023-11-20 15:46:47 +0000 UTC2 kids rooms is a good idea to get to know the members better, especially the most recent one that came out last year (i think). You get to see every pairing of the members sit and talk to each other about how they feel about each other, funny stories and if theyβve had struggles. The other members then talk about their relationship in a separate room. Itβs really good to learn about the members and their dynamics.

2023-11-20 15:04:53 +0000 UTCLove how at 1:16:30 your strong urge to compliment JYP for praising Chan and your strong urge to never say anything nice about jyp are visibly fighting within you, hahaha.

2023-11-20 14:31:43 +0000 UTCMy overall thought so this show: I love watching it for the performances and the funny moments. Its also like their origin story and I just love myself a good origin story. That beeing said: a lot of things (especially their sleep schedules) are borderline child ab*se and in my country would land whoever runs a company exploiting minors like that in prison. I feel like a lot of the members have lasting trauma from this: Felix got shown a clip from his elimination a couple of years back and he immediately started tearing up. I heard Chan and Felix talked in a 2kr how they just went home after Felix elimination and just cried in front of the dorm for hours, I havent been able to find that convo yet though. Minho walked back alone in the rain after his elimination because he felt like he didnt deserve a taxi. Seungmin sounds worse recording at the company than in Chans room because he went through so much "difficult emotion" (aka trauma) there. Chan has self esteem issues to this day and takes responsibility for everything to a degree thats selfdestructive. I could go on. A lot of fans defend it like"oh, its a company, he needs to be hard, etc" but they are literal kids. Its to much. Honestly this show made me question again the overall morality of Kpop companies and the whole trainee concept, etc. There need to be more safeguards in place, especially for minors. There needs to be limits and oversight, it needs to be easier for trainees to leave (voluntarily or when they are kicked out) etc. If you have future prospects when you get kicked out its a very different situation than literally your entire future riding on a hand full of performances. And from what ive heard JYPE is one of the better companies. They dont make their trianees go into debt for example. I could ramble on but ill end my essay here. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

2023-11-20 14:29:43 +0000 UTCI understand what you mean about Changbin. I would rather say second in command cause the heart is without a doubt Chan. Always has been, always will be. Stray kids starts and ends with Chan. Chan is kinda the dad of the group and Changbin is the older brother, imo. But honestly they are all kinda the heart sometimes. The are all the center sometimes and all adored. Its great to see.

2023-11-20 14:11:45 +0000 UTCI'll be honest in saying that I don't think a lot of SKZ's music is for me--it's incredible music, obviously very well made and performed, but I'm just not the target audience for a lot of it. Even so, I really like watching SKZ perform because their energy on stage is so fun. JYP was definitely playing it up for the camera here, but the sort of intangible gestalt that is SKZ with all their members...it's definitely very powerful. Anyway, thanks for the reactions to this series. It's been...I mean, I wouldn't call this show fun, but it was more enjoyable watching it along with you than it would have been alone.

2023-11-20 13:53:16 +0000 UTCi think of hyunjin as someone who does like a combination! like when he raps it feels like there is a melody,, like in his LALALALA verse itβs super wavy like heβs singing except itβs quick so heβs like rapping lol!

2023-11-20 13:31:12 +0000 UTCHjunjin is still more in the rap than the vocal line, isnt he? Lee Know completely ditched rap though, lol

2023-11-20 13:22:27 +0000 UTCIve been waiting, ty :D. I really love the spread my wings performance and the School life intro. And I just have to say how impressed I am again and again by how mature and good they are already as performers at this point.
