Status update Episode 12

Happy Friday!
It ended up being yet another week that I spent working on lewd scenes. I laugh a bit when I think about how you guys had to endure weeks of me talking about a single free roam event, and now you have to hear me talking about making lewd scenes every week.
I have a great flow animating, and I'm getting a lot of work done. This week, I completed the lewd scene I was working on last week, completed another shorter lewd scene, and have just started working on another bigger lewd scene. These three lewd scenes are all with side girls, by the way.
The lewd scene I'm working on now needed some environment design, which I completed yesterday. Today I'm working on static renders of the scene, and I will animate it next week.
As a result of all the animating, my render queue now contains animations from 5 different lewd scenes, along with plenty of SFW animations.
Earlier this week, I reached another milestone for episode 12 - 300 animations have been posed. I count cutscene animations and the like as one animation.
With the remaining 5 (maybe 6) lewd scenes accounted for, I predict the animation count will end up near that of episode 11 (392 animations), but likely higher. Of the remaining scenes, three are for main girls.

Early in my life, I realized that my perception of the beauty of a woman is directly proportional to how much I appreciate her personality wise. I remember that there was a girl in my new secondary school that I found beautiful at first glance, but as I came to know her for real and found that she was arrogant, elitist and spoiled AF, I also found her to be less and less beautiful. I had the same experience with Sarah, seeing her as very cute at first and now I find her quite plain. She's arrogant, dismissive, doesn't care about the feelings of others and she will readily bully other people that are under her power. She also has zero care for what Sage is going through with Chad in season 1 when she's at her lowest. Like the girl in secondary school that I was talking about who was from a rich family, Sarah must come from a rich and privilegied family. She's used to look down toward working class people and see them as lesser human beings, which is ironic since she seemingly fully embraced her life as an escort. There's nothing wrong about doing that for a living when you've got no other choices, but come on, stop acting like you were a goddamn aristocrat! And honestly, I feel like she has a terrible influence on Mel. The later is very fun to be around and is very friendly when she's not with Sarah. But once she's with her friend, she kind of mold her attitude around Sarah's and start to act with the judgemental sassiness than Sarah. I really enjoy Mel presence, but I absolutely hate Sarah. So, I very much understand what you feel about her.

2026-01-28 22:16:26 +0000 UTCmel over sarah all day. from when you see her at the start of season 1 its a sign shes a GRIMEY girl. out of all the scenes i genuinely feel cringe on the hots route doing her solo scenes and when Mels involved id be happy with sarah out the way. she treats the MC like a SALE and whatever secrets she held from sage shows shes just a bad egg in general. when she does her little dig at Ashley in favour of Lilys attitude it was perfect to show just how trashy her character is. i think DPC does a great job making certain characters annoying depending on what other paths your on so its still great. i dont mind negging sarah everytime she tries to troll the MC. ive found that she actually knocks down her ego a notch if the MC rejects her all the time she gives him respect tbf i just may have had a memories of a similar looking girl in the past so her look is just not doing it for me lol Mels cool, Riona, Camilla (the best hot) and Mona was AWESOME. i was gutted to see Mona go and Sarah stay but either way DPC your amazing and nothing but praise for your work the game is in a world of its own when it comes to this genre. brilliant!

2026-01-23 21:33:35 +0000 UTCOn the contrary, it's always pleasant to read you working on these things even when it's about the same type of work for several weeks. It's good to know that you are completing things in the same category steadily and orderly. It gives use a sense of what remains to be done and what is already done. The reality is that despite the fact that you are explaining well and concisely what you are working on, we still are in the dark about the greater picture and the scale that it entails. So, when you explain that you've been working on a large roaming event and then finally say it's completed, we know that a big chunk of the next episode is done even though we don't quite appreciate fully how big the whole episode will be. I have a feeling that the next episode will be one of the greatest if not the greatest released yet. There are a lot of big story events that, even if they don't find a definitive conclusion here, will certainly reach a decisive milestone in episode 12. With what's released in the cliffhanger of episode 11, there's something big that's going to explode in our face. There's this big confrontation that has been brewing for several seasons now and this is going to come to a head now. I'm feeling it my bones. It might be the episode that I anticipated the most, maybe even more than episode 11 (I came somewhat late on the Patreon party during the development of episode 11 to be perfectly honest though). We also finally know who was putting the posters and the seed of eventual settlement of the issue seems to have been sowed. There's also the matter with the camera and who's blackmailing Chad and much more. There are a lot of big emotional events that happened in episode 11 too which makes me think that a lot of relationship building will happen during this one as well. Neil finally met Sage and Jill, the MC finally directly admitted his love for Sage, Josy or Maya (depending of your choices of course). For those who have a weakness for the "side" girls, Sally starts mellowing to the MC, things become more committed with Nicole, Lilly and the MC progressively move from a more mutually beneficial agreement to a real relationship (again depending of your choices), etc. In conclusion, I feel like that this episode will be deeply emotional as well and I thank you for this. Most AVNs are really emotionally shallow outside a few gems that I shall not name here, but are generally well known amongst fans of the genre. But BaD is different. This game isn't just about lewd scenes, it's first and foremost a solid intrigue with different fascinating subplots that go way beyond your usual college coming of age stories. It's also about strong characters with such solid writing that they feel alive and real. I haven't seen that much outside a few select RPGs and RTS games. It's also about real love stories that are endearing and put some joy in our hearts especially in these difficult times. That positivity is welcome these days. So, I want to thank you Dr. PinkCake for your exceptional work and I wish you a great week. Don't forget to keep time for yourself too and enjoy quality time with your friends and family. Sorry for that massive wall of text, but I felt inspired today.
