Status update Episode 12

Hey, all. It's been a rough week for me. The flu I woke up with last Friday got pretty intense, and I'm still feeling some of the symptoms today. But it has been going in the right direction since Tuesday, and I have been able to work since the end of the weekend. It reminds me a lot of how I felt the time I caught COVID, so I'm not ruling out that it's a similar bug again.
Bleh! I'll be fully back on track in a few days from now, and I am working as normal now, so that's good.
I finished the special scene I had been working on, and with that, I had caught up on all writing for completed scenes. Since then, I have played the episode, fixed things here and there, planned and focused on writing dialogue. I will continue focusing on writing in the upcoming week.
The overall progress of episode 12 development at the moment is the following.
Static renders are probably around 30-35% done for the episode.
Posed animations are higher and estimated at 40-45%.
I have barely started with music and sound effects work; it will wait for later.

As you can tell, I've primarily been working chronologically, with some exceptions here and there. I have created a lot of canon content for the episode so far.

2025-09-14 13:27:19 +0000 UTCIt's a shame that you catched the flu, but I'm glad that most of it is behind you. Thank you for your hard work. It seems like it's going well. Having nearly 50% of the animations already done is very impressive considering that I believe that you only started working full time on the episode 12 in April from memory. It feels that the development is pretty fast with your new rigs in comparison to episode 11. I can't wait to see how the plot points revealed in episode 11's conclusion will actually be resolved! It feels like a lot of big stuff is happening all at once and there will be a lot of major storms that are gathering. It might be one of the most important episodes to date. I particularly can't wait to see how the fateful Christmas party will resolve and I want to try to make Jill love the Spring Break like the MC promised. I think this gonna be a blast! The growing love story with Sage will also be very endearing I think. I'm still postively shaken about Sage and the MC declaring love to each others. It was one of the cutest moments of episode 11. :)
