Final Status update Episode 11

We have finally reached the final status update for episode 11. Two days ago, the PCs finished rendering the animations, and shortly thereafter, I continued to prepare the beta builds.
Beta testing
Beta testing started yesterday, and the testers are digging into the episode. They have plenty of work ahead of them.
I've seen many newcomers ask, and to clarify, my beta tests are always private with my trusted team of testers, and it's not something available from my Patreon tiers. It's the final step before release that I carry out to bring you a more polished experience.
I've played the episode a lot, and I'm at the point where it's hard for me to spot issues on my own - my brain feels like mush. That's where the testers excel—they bring fresh eyes that will find things I missed.
I'm fixing everything that gets reported, and testers have a checklist to work through during beta testing. Everything on that list needs a tick before testing is complete, and testing will be allowed to take as long as needed. How much time is needed varies from episode to episode.

My next communication with you will be the release date announcement. After I get a good sense of how much needs to be fixed during beta testing, I will announce it.

She might be more experienced than you think and just looks at it as a good time with friends more than meaning anything. I don't think a threesome with Jill is entirely out of the question. Then again, episode 9 Jill showed some next level naivety that was unrealistic compared to more real world "Jill's" that I have known and was comparing Jill to. So, I could 100% be wrong as this showed me that I really didn't know the character like I thought I did.

You can compare it when your in the house taking a walk with Jill's dad.

It made more sense before the last couple years; free fantasy assets were far more plentiful compared to sci-fi or even more modern assets, which gave adult game devs little options for variety—thus adding in a game of D&D was an easy way to make some more content. Over the past couple years free sci-fi and contemporary assets have many more options available, and of course the rise of AI it's not really that necessary anymore; really it's just no stakes filler, like a dream sequence, ultimately meaningless. That being said, it's better than the seemingly ubiquitous "Truth or Dare" trope at least. Not once in my adult life past college age have I been at a party or gathering where any group of adults busted out a game of, "Truth or Dare." I've been at swinger parties, singles gatherings, gatherings with other couples in open relationships, and all sorts of the parties where people might be hooking up in a random rooms or behind the house, or even an impromptu orgy starts; never once did anyone propose "Truth or Dare."

Bella and Rio were my favorites since the beginning of the game, and S2 and 3 (thanks to a DIK playthrough) made me absolutely love Riona. I enjoy the back and forth between Lily and Quinn as well, but Rio is just the sweetest and I pray for her wellbeing and for more times with her and my MC. It would honestly shatter me if anything else (besides the kidnapping) happened to her.

Jill's dad mentioned that a friend of him recommended the house as the former owner had to sell it quickly - this former owner would be MC's grand father, Lynette's dad. I have the feeling that Bianca's mom and Lynette were friends. One of Lynette's friends looks a bit like Bianca, so she could be her mother. So my bet is that destiny brought MC back "home", where his mom used to live by being together with Jill. I doubt that there is any kinship between MC and Jill (some think there is) as Jill's family simply bought the house after MC's mom and her parents left.

I have yet to see them bring that together. I believe Jill's mom and Bionca's mom were friends with the MC's mom and I'm hopping that is the cause and would like to see it all come together.

Finally caught up on the interlude and chapters 9-10 and I was not disappointed. The only disappointment was knowing that I finished a little too early. However, Jdog is right, she is expendable in regard to the story. There are enough movies, books, games, etc. where characters are dying although people liked them. And whoever played Acting Lessons knows what will be possible in DPCs stories... This being said, I still hope, she will be fine and that MC can kick some ass to rescue her.

She lacks confidence because Quinn keeps putting her down to keep her subservient. She thinks she is bad at school and yet doesn't fail classes. She loves games and cute/ugly stuffed animals. She really takes it to heart when people are mean to her. She always worries about money. Cammy has been a good addition to her life helping her gain back confidence. MC can also help with that if you help her. She has stalkers. She got kidnapped by the van that's been around her since Season 1. Yeah I know she's dirty, but she can also be very sweet.

2025-02-11 18:58:48 +0000 UTCOne of the things that I have learned playing this game over the years is that different approaches lead to a lot of different situations. For instance, when I first played, I made decisions based upon my own ethics. Needless to say, my decisions led me down the Chick path and multiple relationships at the same time. As we got further along, this led to a lot of entanglements especially when you got to the point that you had to choose one. Lately, I've been playing the game (repeatedly) with an individual focus instead of just DIK, neutral, or Chick and playing all the girls (Jill, Josy/Maya, Sage, and Bella) individually making choices (when options are present) that I knew would cause less conflict later on. For example, if I was going Jill-centric, I would just choose to be friends with Josy/Maya and be less aggressive with Bella. This leads to great diversity with the story lines. Just some suggestions to those that are new to the game. Considering that DPC is the master of the unexpected, however, I am sure that more craziness is in store for us.

I've run out of "games" that I've wanted to try and the remainder seem highly likely to just make me angry with how bad they are (low tolerance for objectively dumb/bad. I could never stand to watch the bad pornos (pretty much all of them) other than to mock the hell out of them). At least 262 "games" later, this is still my favorite and I look forward to the next round of updates. I also appreciate how this one hasn't jumped the shark yet. Some AVN's seem to lose their way or others just get old/tired/stuck/formulaic for various reasons. Progression is important for story telling. It feels like a lot of shows/movies and even AVN's don't realize this and just like to milk a good start. Flavors matter, writing matters, as do relationships. It's nice to get most everything in a single package. TLDR: I'M EXCITED GUYS!!!

2025-02-09 12:01:31 +0000 UTCGreat news :) Now that it comes to wanting to replay all the branches to refresh my memory, I have a feature request - I do not know if this would be possible with renpy: Would there be a chance to relive the choices I made throughout Episodes 1-11 by using a savegame and having an "autoplay" that has all choices-preselected according to my savegame? I suspect that unfortunately, the savegames do not retain all the information of how I got to where I am - but it would be nice to know exactly my "personal lore" of which conversations I had with whom on a specific playthrough.

Their job is to TRY and break crap and to note any issues they have on multiple playthroughs. Its not just getting early access to the game. Doc I hope your testers enjoy the game and that it is a smooth run, but I know "stuff happens". Enjoy your time as the testers run through Episode 11, and I have every confidence I will enjoy it myself soon.
