Status update Episode 11

This week, I started by playing Others' and Isabella's branches. I feel very good about how the different playthroughs of the episode feel.
I've also played with a focus on mini-games and balancing the party planning mini-game. Then, I focused on replaying all the lewd scenes; although three scenes were missing animations, I could polish most of the content.
I checked that the Music app is updated with all new songs and works as intended. I also added a couple more SFX that I had missed. I continued working on Phone chats and Rooster, adding more chats, clucks, and gallery images. I believe I'm done with the phone content now.
I'm analyzing the code, flow, and choices right now. This allows me to spot well-hidden errors and oddities I have yet to encounter while playing. I've found several rare bugs resulting from nested choices and exceptions. This information also tells me which playthrough I need to test more thoroughly.
The episode is getting increasingly polished, and my lists of issues to fix between playthroughs are often very short.
The PCs are rendering nonstop, and over the last couple of weeks, I've tried to estimate their render speed and calculate how much more time is needed before they are done. It's tricky because each animation differs in speed, and I'm seeing a spread of up to 100% render time with some animations. Assuming the average render speed stays the same, the PCs should be done with the animation queue on February 7-9 at the latest. If I see that the speed changes, for the better or worse, I'll let you know.
Beta testing will commence as soon as possible after the final animation is complete. I will provide more information about that later. Next week, I will continue polishing and playing; it is the only task left on my checklist for this episode.
The final preview of episode 11 will be released sometime later this month. I think it's safe to say it's a preview you don't want to miss.

2025-02-09 06:11:43 +0000 UTCConsidering how many AVNs that I've played, I've begun to rate them by various criteria. Plot/story, graphics, and girls. There are a lot of games out there. Some are nothing more than a spacebar fest. You are just going along with the story. Some are harem games. You are basically going to screw every girl in the game. Some have good plots/stories, some have awful plots/stories, and some are just plain great. As far as I'm concerned, Being a DIK is among the best out there although there are several that rival those criteria. However, one criteria that I have not mentioned yet, replayability, is on in which Being a DIK beats them all. You can play the game over and over and over again and by varying just a few things, can make it a different game. I am constantly finding things that I missed. Did you know that it is possible to get the teacher that takes over for Cathy beaten up? I didn't know until recently. As far as I'm concerned, DPC is the best writer/developer in this genre of games.

2025-01-19 14:24:45 +0000 UTCThere are no other games that have the number of choices that result in changes, not just for AVNs. Eternum is VERY good, but the character depth in BaD can't be matched. That's the thing, there are other games that have good stories, but they don't give anywhere near as many choices that make you want to play them again and again, just to try to find something different, from differences in the same scenes to things you only encounter once, because somehow, the choices end up not unlocking that scene.

Drifty (the writer for LoF) has a new one out called U4ia and so far, it's pretty good, on par with LoF. But BaD is still #1 on my leaderboard.

There are some that are close but there are way too many that fail miserably and you could tell that they were rushed products lacking in graphics, storytelling, and simple quality control. The MC-Jill relationship is still my favorite among AVNs. I am eager to see the continuation of that story.

Jill: Statuesque with a perfect body and an innocence that is endearing. Josy: Petite and just want to hold her close, and yes screw Maya: Similar to Jill but much dirtier mind, just no experience with guys. Sage: Wild with big breasts and just really gives into her carnal urges. Love the haunted house with her.

2025-01-10 15:50:48 +0000 UTCHello Doc, we are approaching the beta phase...wohooooo 🥳 I'm playing Episode 10 right now and I'm coming back from my date with Riona...you know, the date with the world's ugliest stuffed animal 😅 I have tons of other AVNs here, but I always come back to BaD. I absolutely love the game and in my opinion, it's one of the best AVNs out there. Every genre has games that are considered the best of their kind. Doom for shooters, Call of Duty for multiplayer, Baldur's Gate 3 or Witcher 3 for RPGs etc. and for me it's definitely BaD for AVNs. If I want to convince someone to start with this type of game, I always mention BaD. I know I'm repeating myself 1000 times, but thanks for this awesome game Doc. Ok, I'll keep playing episode 10, I have another date with Nicole. Have a great weekend you and everyone else and stay healthy.
