Status update Episode 9

This week consisted of posing static renders, making most art for Rooster + writing several Rooster posts, coding, writing a few scenes, polishing dialogue, and PC maintenance.
Regarding Rooster posts, several of them are ok for posting on Twitter. It was a previous concern that they would spoil too much, and I won't post the ones that do. You can look forward to more Twitter content here.
Since my static render queue has been pretty big lately, I made a PC slave render some of it this week instead of animations. Because of this, I'll likely spend some time next week play-testing parts of the episode and getting a feel for it.
I'm still working on free-roam event renders and will do so for several more weeks.
To put the content of the free-roam events into perspective, the biggest one in the episode currently has more than 900 renders and will go over 1000. Making it at least 100-200 renders bigger than the biggest one in Season 1/2 (Episode 7, HOTs party).
I will work on the final free-roam event of the episode next week. I've still got work to do in the others, but I feel I get the most momentum if I push on with this. Plenty of art remains to be produced.
I'll try to make an updated and detailed progress report for next week's status update to show you what work remains in percentages and estimates. It would also benefit me to grasp how far along the development is.

As this upcomming episode will have the halloween party, we probably won't be expecting it until halloween or even later... please again... put me in a cryo chamber. Are you at least willing to tell us if there will be more relationship paths open then we know currently available... like quinn, lily or Nicole... Sandy perhaps? lol

2022-07-25 23:35:16 +0000 UTCI don't have any deadlines. I work, and when an episode is finished, I release it on Patreon. The next release is episode 9, and it's a meaty episode. After that comes the episode 10 development cycle, rinse repeat until episode 12 is done, and that's when I will release Season 3 on Steam.

2022-07-25 21:20:20 +0000 UTCI'm honestly really excited for this, and I know Season 2 came out in February, but I can't help but wonder if Episode 9 will be the whole Season 3? I mean I'm not complaining by any means, one long episode with more content and plot twists would be dope! Is this either a, one really long episode (4 in 1), or b, a cover for the fact that Episode 9 is actually 9,10,11, and 12, just not listed as? Also, I don't know if February is the deadline for each Season, but I honestly don't care, I just love the fact you are putting SO much effort into this book on the DAILY! Being a DIK will always, ALWAYS, be my favorite book, and Acting Lessons is definitely in my top 5's! Again, just curious if the Steam release will contain 4 Episodes like the previous one did, and if it will come out in February or a later date. No rush, that's the last thing I want to see happen, I'd rather it be like Avatar where it takes longer than expected to come out and be a MASTERPIECE than rushed to meet a deadline and not be as good as it could've been.

2022-07-25 08:16:38 +0000 UTCI'm with everybody else. The HOTs party was awesome. I got a lot of action my first run. Then when I discovered the guide I didn't realize how much I had left behind. It was worth the additional runs to collect everything else.
