I already wish for a shoulder to cry on. Don't tear up easily but acting lessons was really something. And now with each different playthrough I get attached to another character. Wat if Derek was to throw himself in front of Maya and dear ol' dad? Or what if Chad goes beserk and kills half the hots? Or... or... what if we have to choose between Maya and Josy? Or if our choices drive a wig between Jill and Bella? *grabs a bag and starts to hyperventilate

I really hope not... as much as I loved that game and as beautiful as I thought that ending was to this day I still wish I had never played it.

I appreciate your opinion here, but I'm really hoping it doesn't go that direction in a graphic sense. Finding out that someone is charged with murder, being investigated or arrested when evidence is found suits me fine. The details might be grisly and the repercussions might be huge, but I would have to side with Paul Cormier on this. The violence and potential for it were there from the beginning considering the abuse, the robbery and so on. In this one violence isn't a theme that creates the impetus of the story like the robbery, the subsequent hospital scene and so on. Maybe a failed suicide attempt or near overdose with Quinn or someone in a coma. Or as I've remarked before Bella lashing out at her husband when he's caught cheating and she hides it. The axe might have been a tool she used to get wood to make a coffin or something else there is a pick axe or something there too, right? But it's his show and I look forward to whatever direction he goes. I am hoping that anything along those lines doesn't turn an entire episode into a wake and funeral or a dark mood all the way around. That's what I would have to say is my worry. I don't remember a lot about Acting Lessons as far as names because it did affect me greatly and I don't want to remember it for those parts. I want to remember it the wonderful friendships and dedication to helping each other through the dark times. I suppose the dark times were necessary to bring that part out, but I was not nearly as invested in the characters beyond Megan, MC and Liam. I'm invested in my choices to this point, but a turn to darkness would slow my desire to run through the game to a turtle's pace after that part if it was too overwhelming. Just me and my opinion though. Rock on DPC, tell your story and I'll deal with it the only way I know how.

Oschielon, yeah, you make some good points. And I'm right there with you on the chats and conversation. I've talked about it, but only the basic plot and the interactions with your choices. I don't know what it is about DPC'S writing that sucks me in, but it does it very successfuly. I tend not to like the really dark stuff (I always figured that it's easy enough to find that in real life, so I tend to stay away from it in fiction), but in spite of that I will have to complete this story. I only found the other one after it was complete and then only played to the first shrink encounter and had to replay the first part to see if it could be avoided. I only 3 or 4 times before I started searching for hints and clues online. I walked away from it for a month or 2 before deciding to go back and push on. I'm still not sure if I will ever go back and do the whole thing again.

*worries for Riona :'c* I've got playthroughs every which way, and tbh Quinn actually some of the sweetest moments. She's definitely a complex and twisted personality, but there are moments that are truly touching between her and MC. Interested to see where it goes. As for the whole Maya / father's religion... I don't know. Seems to be a bit of a stretch to involve a huge religious cult into just one of the main characters story... especially with the ramifications that could involve. I think it'll just be more along the lines that because her father is religious he was also either unknowlingly or purposefully abusive to her, possible not physically, but for sure mentally. I just feel the setting and DPC's writing is a bit too realistic to try bring a cult into it. Could be totally wrong though haha, which is why I'm terrified / dying to find out what happens. I'm also at the point where I really wish I found this gem once it was fully completed. I'm starting to obsess about it to, and because of the nature of the game, there isn't exactly many friends I have that I can casually chat about it in person, ya know? Or maybe that's just me haha.

I haven't played through as a Massive DIK and possibly because of that, I haven't become very emotionally invested in Quinn. It seems to me that for tragedy to hit hardest, it's got to hit one of the least deserving of it (which you know that I already said that I don't like - even if it is more realistic and necessary for whatever twist DPC has in mind). I hope DPC is going for something original here and not just repeating the same elements as before (criminal & crazy) although there are already hints at possibilities for both of those, there is also the hint of something sinister with Maya's dad & his religion. I'm very suspicious about that "religion" but get the feeling we won't find out more until it impacts the MC. The suspense is killing me. I almost wish I waited a year or 2 to start this. Now I will obsess about it until it's complete.

Also been thinking more, and I have a feeling that the tradegy side of things for this one is gonna somehow involve Quinn and the drugs... Maybe cause the HOTs need the money she'll try to cut the drugs and do it wrong... or perhaps she'll just accidentally overdose

As dark as it was, it was fairly realistic. Life is nasty, and not everyone you meet will have a happy end. I liked even more so that DPC decided to not give the player any choice for it to go any other way. Not only was it needed for the MC for the story, but also to make the player properly invested in the choices.

Well, I think I've finally lost my mind in this game. Here's a short synopsis of what I think would be a very cool turn of events. The MC and his frat brothers start working hard to fix the place and the administration watches as it slowly transforms. During that time the MC goes home with Maya and Josy at his side to see what that letter is all about. I don't have a clue how I want it to go except that I hope that it puts the MC and Dad on a course to be able to move to the area around campus where his Dad could become the fulltime maintenance engineer and grounds keeper with MC as his partner. Neil meets Isabella, Jill and all the HoTs and kind of does a double take. But most of alll, I think he'd be perfect for Isabella. A mature man with a heart of gold and the patience of a saint. The MC's involvement there...not sure, but I think Jill, Josy or Maya are better choices in the long run. How the story develops from there is anybody's guess. Just a wish list here, but I really believe that would make a wild ride for all concerned.

Now there is a very good point. She finds it hard to stand up for herself and that would be devastating. I can see that. I just think he uses his religious virtue or whatever as a weapon to make her feel unworthy and more sinful than anyone should be made to feel. That's kind of what I mean by controlling minds by withholding love and affection. But an excellent point.

I have to say that I am enjoying being able to exchange theories and ideas about this. It truly is a great piece of work so far. I do hope that it doesn't get as dark as "Acting Lessons". I was really disappointed that there didn't seem to be any way to save both girls. I know it was needed for the MC to experience the mental/emotional devastation for the rest of the plot, but I still would have liked at least one ending that skipped that.

as for faking Lynette's death, I would think that would be hard to pull off even with money and resources. She was head strong enough to run away and track him down, so I don't find it totally plausible that she would just give up.

Timothy, I'm finding some of your theories interesting but I can't help but play devil's advocate. Going back to Maya's father - I think he is not just religious, but in some kind of cult and wonder about some kind of "marry her off" types of threats (either implied or otherwise).

Weird thought, what if Lynette's father bribed the doctors into telling Neil that she died and they whisked her away telling her the baby died and that Neil took off. Now, with that said, remember that Neil is working on a new hotel and they joked about him falling for the owner's daughter....let your imagination run free from there. Lynette learns of the lies but is powerless to do anything because of the way life has evolved, but..... Not sure where I'm going from here but wouldn't that be a twist and a half....lol

My comment about a "Richy" school doesn't mean that all of them are Royce or Burgmeister rich, but just think if Neil or the MC were to just have the kind of money that say Sage's family does and it's a will and testament away from changing their lives. That would still be huge for the plot.

All great points Tim. I think we as fans should be safe from any tragic events in season 2. I think once we hit episodes 9 through 12 we will see things get dark. I also think elapsed time will be used at points if dpc is intending for the MC to graduate at the finale.

To be honest, Maya's father is probably a closet abuser. He probably is more upset she likes girls cuz of that. Just my opinion. You have to admit Derek is a little off too. They're wonderful kids, but that family is a mess. Where's Mom in all this? Is she one of those silent types afraid of losing the meal ticket so she let's him screw up the kids? I wouldn't be too surprised if Maya wasn't more upset that Josy would go to the East Coast without her. I think Maya was actually trying to disappear from that controlling "fuck" of a father permanently. I mean, I can see a week or two of the silent treatment like Pete with Josy, but not acknowledging your daughter graduated High School Magna cum Laude with an arm around her or a kiss. He may not physically or sexually abuse those kids but he's a mental abuser for sure. A real Jackass Asshat kinda guy. So does that answer your question Gritty. I hope I posted where you could read it. This system of tiers confuses me...lol

Something I just considered too is that some female relationships are very physical in a "huggy-kissy" sort of way as in the library when Jill tells Bella about the spat with the MC. When it comes to intense emotional things it can also make a sad person even sadder for the lack of contact with the person they are missing. Moodiness and sadness often go together and that may have been what happened. Jill also told the MC that he was probably overthinking the locked room. There was no hint of hiding any emotions for Bella in my opinion, just profound concern that the MC doesn't push the wrong buttons and hurt Bella or ruin the newfound relationship/friendship by being nosey.

Now that I look at the picture of main characters I can see how danger/crazy meter is on the left side the highest with Quinn and the lowest on right with Jill. It somehow fits really well with their characters and stories. I really like all the characters besides Quinn. She is a broken human being that needs a fixing. Jade is a little cracked up human being but is fun to be around. The rest you can guess yourself. The middle pair is the coolest to be around. Both fun and crazy enaught for everyone. Bella and Jill are the sweetest and most nice to be around. Less of the crazyness and but not less sexyness. For me personally the right side with Jill and Bella are the hottest. Queen is the least but thats just me and my preference.

I can't seem to stop replaying it. I'm feeling compelled to try just about every combination of choices and character traits. I am actually hoping that there is a way to reject or be rejected by Josy & Maya that will be reversible in later episodes. After playing "Acting Lessons" I'm watching the character personalities and hinted at mysteries more closely in anticipation of the surprises to come.

That scene worried/worries me a lot. Since then I've tried to pull back from Bella, but since I've also done the same with Josy and Maya, and have no interest in Quinn or Sage, it would make for an awfully boring game lol.

Like I said a little while ago, I think it might have been a comfort thing that got a little steamy, but I think that each of them is so sexually appealing that it might be more about sharing a common abuse issue where they each have been abused in some way that lends a very close relationship through the secret of that abuse. Remember when the MC says he would have called for help if he knew about how that kiss affected Bella in the Library? Images of a broken past will do that to a person.

You know I just had a weird premonition about the scene with Jill and Bella in bed. Maybe they had a brief encounter that wasn't too involved, but I also wonder if they haven't competed for the attentions of men before. Maybe Jill when she first got to school and Bella found out her husband was a little bit of a perv for young girls. She might have gotten very angry and sided with Jill kicking her hubby out. Explains a lot to do with the interest in MC and why it feels dirty. She doesn't seem to have a real inhibition problem otherwise. Being cheated on can break one's confidence in their sexuality in a heartbeat. Just a thought but the more I think about it, something happened to Jill too that makes Bella overprotective and it also scarred Jill to not be able to trust a man's attentions. Just saying...could be an interesting angle for the plot to go.

One person I hope gets what he deserves is that scurvy dog Steven, Jade's husband. Cheating is one thing, but there is more to this scumbag. he's the one using the girls and promising free tuition for sexual favors. That's gonna get him a blanket party from some of the DIKs I'll bet. Mona left that room madder than a hornet in Episode 5. What an "eff" stick he is if that's what's happening.

Excited to see how the HOT power struggle comes about, if it does. Some of the girls didn't seem too happy with Sage's leadership and Quinn and co. might try a hostile takeover. MC's relationship with Sage also seems to be evolving beyond just f*ck buddies.

Just one thing that I hope we find out soon is a little insight into relationship between Jill and Bella. It seems closer than friendship and almost like sisters in a way. Was the the best friend of Jill's deceased sister or maybe her sister-in-law? I know the renders suggest some fooling around but I'm guessing that most of those for every character are designed mostly as erotica and not story-based. Am I right there or not? Anyway, love your sense of humor, it's witty, silly and sarcastic all at the same time. Anyway, I'm out. Thanks for your great work.

I am so looking forward to this update! I don't know much about animations and rendering, but am I wrong to guess that 2000-3000 animation frames for 25 animations means we're getting higher quality animations than before? At least I think it sounds like alot, but maybe it's not?
