Update Preview – 2025.10.25 The Prey’s Past
Added 2025-10-25 01:12:04 +0000 UTCLast week, we introduced the Devourer of Desire and mentioned the unfortunate mortal it had captured — the Prey.
Prolonged feeding has drastically changed her body, leaving her soft, heavy, and burdened by the remnants of endless indulgence. Her deck combines cards from both the Blessed Champion and another class.
But long ago, before her fall, the Prey was known by another name: the Huntress.
She once served the Church faithfully, hunting down the creatures of the Abyss that had slipped into the mortal world, guided by sacred vows and unshakable discipline. If not for a single moment of carelessness — an ambush— she might still hold her place among the Church’s chosen.
Her profession cards embody the discipline and conviction of one who once served the Church. They are precise, methodical, and heavy with the weight of divine duty — yet faint traces of corruption already linger between their lines.

The Church holds its servants to the highest standards — not only in faith, but in harmony. To them, every strike, every prayer, every motion must fall into perfect rhythm, forming a divine melody of order and devotion.
This philosophy is reflected in one of the Huntress’s signature cards: Chant of Choirs. When play two consecutive cards of the same type and cost, draw 1 card as reward.

The second card introduces a new mechanic: Codex. A Codex remains in your hand and its cost decreases by 1 at the start of each turn. However, once you play it, its cost immediately returns to its original value.
Next week, we’ll continue unveiling more cards from the Huntress’s set — where the divine and the profane begin to blur.
