Added 2020-04-02 23:02:02 +0000 UTCI'm not going through the whole WIP-posting process for an April Fool's story, so here's a little "blog post" sort of blurb about how it was made. Public because why not, lol.
The first thing to mention is that I used a text-to-speech program to emulate GLaDOS' "voice". The website only allows for about 140 characters of text to be submitted at a time, so I had to manually go through and separate each line. For reference: here's the original story prior to any editing.
...and here's what I ended up with after both general edits and edits to help the TTS interpret the lines easier. You'll notice I inserted a lot of spelling errors, that being because the AI will interpret stuff like "human" as "hoo-man". So as a result, you need to re-write your input phonetically (thus, "hyew man").
As after that's all set and done, I get my raw audio and edit it up as I would for pretty much any other story.
April Fool's is a good reason for me to do "out-there" stuff like this, but I almost wonder if I should try some more stuff along these lines...

i would say heck yes. Even if this was a April fools day joke, it was still really well made, and great to listen to, i would love to see more of this in the future
