Weekly Update - 11/13/24

What a week it has been. I can't look at the news without growing more and more angry, so I'm trying to take in less news. Some of the planned political appointments are next-levels of batshit crazy, though. Appointing a horse as senator can't be far off. I've already spoken with my best friend about my next tattoo though. It'll be the first one I'm getting that'll be basically visible at all times.

I wrapped up Morgana's Gift yesterday, and while we'll be back to see the Bishops again at some point in the future, for now, that story is done, and I'll be taking a break from it for a while. There's an author's note at the end of the last chapter, so if you haven't read that yet, stick around for the end. If you're one of those people who knew we were getting to the end and wanted to wait until you could read it all in one go, all 120k words are now available to be read as a single chunk. The finale post has a full version PDF (and, now by request, a full version EPUB) attached to it, as well as a PDF of the final chapter as a standalone. For those of you counting, 120k words is about 25% larger than most novels you'd pick up in a bookstore, assuming you can find one. I'm still working on getting caught up with commissions, but they're coming. And I'm not sure what I'm going to do for Friday yet, but I suspect it'll be a return to Brewster's Brood, as I know I've been a bit lax on that and Breakpoint. Hell, the last few months have been a mess, what with the writer's conference, the New Zealand trip and the election (not to mention the two new kittens in our house), but I am making headway, and I felt pretty good about having wrapped up two stories in the last few months, as we finished CARP and Morgana's Gift. We're also not so very far away from the end of Neon Stonehenge (3-5 chapters, by my reckoning), but as per that story's commissioner, I'll just immediately roll over and start work on Druid Gunslinger book #2, Have Totem, Will Travel. Dale's fun to write anyway, so I'm enjoying telling those stories.

My public release schedule for the next few weeks looks like this: 11/16 - QT:PT20; 11/23 - FG5, QT:UM2; 11/30 - QT2:25; 12/7 - BTS 11; 12/14 - Captains' Day 2, QT2:i5. 

It's a weird time to be alive, but we will endure and we will fight.
