Weekly Update - 9/25/24

I know, I know, the end of CARP 12 is driving everyone nuts and everyone wants CARP 13 ASAP, so assume I'll have it within the next day or two. Some business sprung up, so let me keep you all abreast of what's shaking. (Business for here, even! Not DayJob stuff, which has mostly been on the backburner lately.)

In about an hour, I'm heading up to the city, where I've been invited to be one of the attendees for a Patreon mixer, and as one of the few representatives of the 18+ Content Creator community, it's important I show up and make sure they are keeping the needs of our communities in mind. After that, I drive back down, have poker night, then come home.

Tomorrow morning, I fly out for a writer's conference, where BreakTheBar and I will be holding what can laughably be called the first QTCon, as we'll both be there, and we can sit down, talk about where things are headed, what's working and what isn't and how the project continues to move forward. This'll be the second in-person meeting of QT authors, as I met Disquiet Certitude when I was on vacation in Hawaii early this year. I've got business cards and everything (as well as business cards for Andy Rook, which seemed a meta joke too good to ignore). That'll be much of the weekend, but since I'll be in an airport and on a plane for a few hours, I'll be able to finish off CARP and hopefully get some chunks done with all the other stuff I'm working on.

Those inquiring about my health, I basically slept through most of Thursday and Friday, but by Friday afternoon, I was feeling okay, and other than a particularly persnickety bit of nasal drainage, I feel fine again. So I will try and cram in as much writing as I can during travel and downtime of the weekend, but I suspect I'm also going to be doing some social recharging. If it helps, though, the meeting I had in Hawaii fueled the engines hard, so I suspect while I'm in Denver airport waiting for my flight back to Cali, I'll likely write a ton.

My New Zealand trip is less than a month away, and I'm already massively excited about that. I planned it for the group of us, and barring a few details here and there left to get settled, all that's left is to enjoy the ride. I'll definitely keep people posted with pictures from my trip here. I'll be gone 10/19-10/30, so updates during that time will definitely be wonky, but this is my first non-family vacation in... okay, so that's a long time. The last time I was overseas with any of my local friends, it was 2008. So yeah, it's been a long, long while. I appreciate everyone telling me to have fun and I will!

The public release schedule looks like this:  9/28 - Neon Stonehenge 6, QTAA 10 (conclusion); 10/5 - Pack 11, QTUM 2; 10/12 - QT2:22, CARP 9; 10/19 - QT2:23; 10/26 - The Stacked Deck (Silversmith 4).

What are your plans in New Zealand, need warm gears still, daylight saving this weekend, so more light in evenings

Hopefully this will be an opportunity to re-kick-start Project Quaranteam, catching up with the more recent QT authors and updating story "archives" for all the writers, as the site has been inert since early-February - a long wait for readers, though those of us who still catch up with a majority of the stories on Literotica wait for weeks, as well. Good wishes on a very active and variable week!

Hope the QTcon goes well. I believe that you have conjured a franchise.

I would have been disappointed if you didn't have a business card for Andy. Glad you didn't let the opportunity slip by.
