Weekly Update - 1/31/24

Whew! So that's out of the way.

For those of you who haven't seen, I dropped QT2:20 earlier today, clocking in at just a hair's breadth shy of fifteen thousand words, meaning it's ostensibly three chapters worth of chapter in one chapter. I actually finished it at about 1 AM but wanted to have all the other QT writers take a quick look at it to make sure I hadn't made any silly mistakes or continuity goofs. (Spoilers: I'd made a few, including forgetting that Andy doesn't wear glasses anymore...)

I have some outstanding commissioned works to get rolling into next, and February... well, shit, February technically just STARTED as I watch the clock tick past midnight while I'm typing these words. I'm going to be on vacation for part of this month, but I'm still going to try and get as much content out as I can, and considering the vacation basically requires me to spend over a day's worth of time in the air, maybe I'll be able to even it all out. But if the release dates feel a little wonky for February, that's what's going on. Normally I'm not one to vacation much, but this year may be the exception, as my family's taking me somewhere tropical next week, and I'm organizing a trip down to Australia/New Zealand in the late fall, so I can personally apologize for what I did to their countries in QT.

I'm going to throw up the first poll of what story I'm writing in tomorrow, but as a reminder, release dates will be pretty floaty, as I see if I can convince some tropical girl to share a hammock with me somewhere warm. I will be doing 2 chapters of QT2 this month, but the first will be Intermission 4 and I've still got two competing ideas floating around my head for that, so we'll see which one wins out - one is focusing on how Sergei's doing these days, the other is a look at the whole trip someone caught up in Project Funnel Cake does in leaving their country, coming to the US, getting paired and imprinted. There's merits in both ideas, so feel free to chime in on which you think would be more useful here. Willing to entertain either argument.

It'll probably be a block of commissioned content coming for the next week or two, as I try to get caught up, and use that time to buffer for vacation. As always, appreciate the hell out of you all, and I hope you enjoyed the fuck out of QT2:20 - I've been working on it on and off since December, and I feel like it really came together in the end.
