Weekly Update - 1/17/23

Hopefully everyone's seen the note at the end of The Threadbinders 8, which announced that I was going to immediately roll over and continue with The Threadbinders 9 for Tuesday/Wednesday's release, which I'm a good ways into but not quite finished yet, so expect that soonish. I may be able to finish it off tonight when I get back from poker night, but that'll be wee hours of the morning PST. I might also need a bit longer, but regardless, it'll drop before end of day Thursday. We'd been so long in-between chapters of Threadbinders that it took me longer than I'd like to get the voice of it back down and leaving everyone in the middle of the action seemed unfair, so I made an executive decision to just do one then another. So hopefully you'll indulge me there.

I am also slowly chipping away at QT2:20, trying to put about a thousand words a day into it, so that when we hit the end of the month, it'll be a nice big delicious meal for all of you who've been so patient.

For the people who've been writing in asking about how they, too, can write their own Quaranteam story - i.e. what I'll allow and what I won't - when you send me an email asking, I'll give you back about a 3-page overview, which includes The Four Rules and our suggested details about Pitching a QT story, which includes things like: "what makes your story unique" and "where are you setting it, keeping in mind that we probably have enough stories set in the Pacific Northwest as well as the UK?"

I'd been getting a lot of people asking to play in the sandbox, and we were probably long past me having a nice easy document to explain what's allowed and what isn't.

Not sure what I'm going to do for Friday/Saturday, but I'm currently thinking Neon Stonehenge. We'll see, though. Sometimes inspiration hits me and I'm just ready to plow into something.
