Weekly Update - 9/27/23

It's been a pretty crazy week. Maybe you've heard? As such, there have been a shitload of day job meetings happening since word broke on Thursday that writers were probably going back to work. My phone has been ringing a lot, and I don't think I've paid for a meal since Friday, which is both good and bad, because it means I've been driving all over California for the last week instead of being able to sit and write. On the plus side, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be able to eat and live for a while again, which is good.

I wrote a little bit more in chapter two of Amor Ex Machina than I'd intended, and hopefully people really enjoyed the chapter. There's a lot more coming down that storyline eventually, so it was fun to tease out a bit more of it.

There's been a lot of spin off stuff from readers coming in for me to review, and that's also taking a big chunk of my time lately, so if you feel like it's taking me a while to get back to you, I promise you that I will, but that there has been a flood of it lately, and I only have so much time.

I've barely even had time to scratch the surface of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, which is the thing I've been most looking forward to for a year. I think I've put in 2-3 hours in it since it dropped, so pretty soon, I'm just going to carve off part of a day and enjoy the hell out of that myself.

I'm going to see what I can pop out over the next few days because thankfully, I don't have another meeting scheduled until Monday, so we'll see how much I can get done between here and there. It's been a weird month, what with the family vacation carving a week and change out of the center of it. I'd hoped to get some writing done during that, but the travel was challenging, and I just fell down in trying to focus.

Anyway, that's me, that's where we're at, and rather than telling you what's going on, I'm just going to get back to writing.
