April Announcement #2

Hey again! Commissions have been closed for a couple of weeks now, but I am glad to announce a hard-set date for their reopening: May 1st. 

I have already edited the reward tiers to reflect what they will be after the current month ends. While there is the chance of minor changes, it should give you an idea of what we intend on going with. If you wish to update your tier, now is the ideal time to do so. In addition, stretch goals are now a thing. Let's get it.

First thing I want to emphasize: If you are not pledged to the Patreon, you can purchase a commission! It will be sent to you directly upon completion. 

With that out of the way, here's is a general outline as to their pricing:

We have two types of commissions. Original Stories and Dubbed Stories. What are original and dubbed stories? Well...

Original stories are ones where a completely new piece of literature is created for the sole purpose of being voice-dubbed. These cost a flat $25.

This presents several advantages in itself, such as the commissioner being able to get exactly what they want out of an audio story and increased ease in adding sound effects. Original stories can either be written in traditional story format or as a script. 

When you order an original story, you will receive:

    - The story itself in .txt form.

    - The raw recording pre-editing.

    - The finished product, with added sound design.

    - You have the option of adding a piece of artwork to your purchase. The prices vary by artist, and will be listed in the commission sheet.

I'll be posting a few examples of original stories I've made upon opening day.

Dubbed stories have been the backbone of our page up to this point, and will continue to coexist with original stories. 

By default, any story under 2400 words is free to request. The easiest way to get a request to us is to join our discord server and post a link in #story-requests. While requests take an obvious backseat to paid commissions, they will be done nonetheless 9 times out of 10. 

Stories with wordcounts above 2400 (or whatever your patreon tier's designated amount is) can be commissioned at a rate of $1 for every 60 words above the limit. Dubbed stories do not have sound effects added to them. The maximum wordcount for any dubbed story is 4800. 

When you order a dubbed story, you will receive the finished story recording alone.
