Weekly Update - 11/2/22

I'm back from my Las Vegas roadtrip, which went both better and worse than imagined. I didn't get as much writing done along the way, so the first chapter of my new story, C.A.R.P., just went up. It's going to be 13-chapters long, 1 chapter per semester with 3 semesters in a year (the summer being the final of the three) and one pre-time at C.A.R.P. and one post-time at C.A.R.P. The next chapter will start to peel off some layers from the onion and get you a bit more insight, whenever we hit that. I had very much intended to have the chapter up yesterday, but we lost power here at Casa De Corruption for almost five hours yesterday. And it was hailing with lightning today about four hours ago, but now it's almost clear skies. So who the hell knows what's going on.

I'm still a bit behind on commissioned works from last month, so I'm going to push Breakpoint 3 back to either Saturday or Sunday as I work hard to get caught up on all the commissions I owe. It might be Sunday before BP3 drops, but even if I'm still running a little I will ensure BP3 will be out by Sunday.  Those I owe commissions to, I will be literally writing nothing else for the next few days.

Next week, we'll have a new chapter for Threadbinders on Tuesday, 11/8, and Brewster's Brood on 11/11. We'll have stories the following week, the second of which will be the other Reader's Choice for the month, and then I will be taking 11/22 & 11/25 off for vacation. (Knowing me, I'll probably be using the vacation to get caught up and ahead on commissions, but I will have a very old friend in town for much of it.)

As it stands right now, we will be launching QTB2 on 12/2 and that will be a somewhat bigger than normal post. I've been writing scraps of it here and there as I do edits in prep on trying to get the book 1 revisions done, which I'm also woefully behind on, but thankfully, I'm waiting for the book cover to arrive, so I feel okay with that. It's coming - it's just taking longer than expected.

To be fair, all of this was the plan anyway -- push me until I knew what my limits were and then slow down there and grow into them. The vacation will help, honestly. The old friend who's coming out knows all about this side gig of mine, and he's encouraging of it.

Public releases for the next month look like:  11/5 QTPT 9, 11/12 - If I'm Honest 11, 11/19 - QTPP 4, 11/26 - QT48, 12/3 - QTPP 5, 12/10 - IIH 12.
