Weekly Status Update - 2/16/22 - This Will Destroy You

Sorry I was a little bit late with Quaranteam 38, but I'd gotten about 5k words done yesterday and knew there was something still missing, so I decided to sleep on it and attack it fresh this morning. It's live now, as is the poll for T3-5 to vote on which cast member gets a guaranteed sex scene and a one-page profile for March. That poll will run for a week.

I've seen a handful of people asking for epub format collections, and people in general just asking me to compile past chapters into single, more easily digestible files. I'm going to do that soon, but let me also explain why I've been a little hesitant to do so before now. The hope was that at some point I would put out a full collected edition on the Kindle store, and I think that's still the plan, and I worried that having large archive collections would dissuade anyone from buying those, and there was also the fear that it would give people less incentive to stick around after they'd grabbed the large collections. I'm going to do it anyway, though, and hope that it doesn't come back and bite me in the ass.

The plan, currently, is that I'll be putting out bigger compendiums (probably in both epub and pdf format) every five chapters of any given story, and that it will include all the previous chapters. So, for example, the first collection of compendiums is likely to be QT Chapters 1-35, If I'm Honest 1-5, Morgana's Gift 1-5 and Brewster's Brood 1-10. That said, it's probably going to be a week or two before I get those out there, as I'm having to go back and clean up all the inconsistencies that QT had over its first 25 chapters or so in particular. These compendiums will represent the "most current" versions of any story, and if people find corrections, I'm likely just to fix them in future compendiums rather than going and updating every version of the story. (Trying to update individual chapters here, at Lit and EMCSA, seems like a rather daunting task.)

For those of you who weren't aware, QT started over at EMCSA, and in the beginning, I didn't even know how to get italics on the site. When I figured out how to do that, I wrote in that style as a default, meaning there were *'s on either side of what I wanted italicized. I'm having to go back through the old manuscript and convert all of those into normal italics now, in addition to doing some other clean up and improvements I've wanted to make along the way. There's some of that in the early chapters of most of the other works as well. I'm trying to shoehorn that in along the way with all my normal writing both here and contracted, so I appreciate everyone understanding that I don't have a hard/fast deadline for those yet but they are coming and I do see the requests.

This Friday 2/18 will mark a return to the Janus Coins story, and I'll start in on that tomorrow. There is a 25% chance it might spill to 2/19, but the odds are still in its favor of it making Friday. Brewster's Brood 10 is also on pace for 2/22, and when that posts next Tuesday, I'll post the 1-10 compendium in addition to Chapter 10, assuming Patreon can handle multiple files on a single post. (Speaking of which, there are 2 days left for those of you T3-5s to vote for who you want to be guaranteed a sex scene next month! There is a front runner, but she's only a couple of votes ahead.) Rounding out the schedule, Morgana's Gift 8 was voted on to be 2/25 (and is currently winning the poll for 3/4 which has only 10 hours left) and one of the things I announced to T3-5s already but will now share with everyone is that I'm going to commit to two Quaranteam chapters a month moving forward for the foreseeable future, with the first one in March dropping on 3/1

The schedule of what's going to public sites over the next few weeks is: 2/19 - If I'm Honest 8, 2/26 - Quaranteam: Phil's Tale 3, 3/5 - Morgana's Gift 7, 3/12 - Quaranteam 36. I know EMCSA reliably updates on Saturdays, and they were where I appeared first, so I use them as my scheduling, as Literotica is a little less predictable as to when they throw new content up.

Last thing for the week. I get asked a lot what I listen to while I'm writing, and it varies a ton, based on what I'm working on, but I do have a particular love of post-rock bands, with one of my favorites being This Will Destroy You, and the song "The Mighty Rio Grande" in particular. If you aren't familiar with these guys, they're fucking amazing, and do yourself the favor of picking up some of their stuff. The Mighty Rio Grande - YouTube

That's all the news that's fit to print, and I'll see folks again on Friday!

Thank you for considering epubs. Would love to have them for each chapter too but I know that's extra work for you.

If I’m honest I was planning on buying your completed works when you published them. You weren’t the sole reason behind it but I did up my mobile game from an iPad Mini and Kindle to a 2018 11” iPad Pro so I could better read ongoing works like yours. That and the iPad Mini was from 2015 and starting to slow down a bit. I still use the Kindle every day for at least a few minutes and will like to eventually carry your books on it as well. Thanks again for letting us know what’s coming in the next few weeks. I sure don’t mind a publishing date slipping if it means a better product. There’s always something in a month more than worth the tier I pay for. As a content creator you’ve been very solid and I certainly appreciate that.

Epub compendiums will be greatly appreciated but feel free to do them at your own pace.
