Thanks! Do you pay monthly now? How much if I may ask?

Paolo Tatafiore

It's with Pacific Cross and half the price of the similar AXA Global policy I had from Pacific Prime. In the US because of stink Obamacare, under threat of tax penalties I had to carry medical insurance which doubled and then tripled the amount I had to pay. For 10 years I paid $1,500 to $1,700 MONTH for medical insurance for myself alone or me and my 2 kids. These were middle of the road plans ("silver"), and I had to pay co-pays for every visit. I had to fight them to death to get my eye meds which I've been on for 30 years. Sometimes I would just pay cash for the meds because Blue Cross Blue Shield would just keep denying them. Corrupt scumbags paying off elected and non-elected officials is the name of the game in the United States these days. Here my doctor visits even with specialists and bloodwork are a little more than the co-pays I had in the US and I pay cash for meds at a rate much cheaper than meds cost me before. I usually go to Bangkok Hospital in Pattaya but I have a specialist at Bumrungrad in Bangkok.

HI Mal, how expensive is medical policy? Thanks!

Paolo Tatafiore

Very good chat. I bought 3 different insurance policies from Jack's company... medical, motorbike, and drone. Highly recommended. Been visiting Thailand and mostly Vietnam for 30 years but I've lived here in Pattaya for almost a full year now. I'm wondering if there is any advice on working here (officially working) vs having a retirement visa.
