How to make a dead space marine for a base

Today I have for you a video on which I presented how I made this torn in a half space marine for Magnus' base.
I'm pretty sure that you will find here a few tricks that will help you a lot with your conversions.

Nice as always. Though i was personally thinking of instead of a killed space wolf, maybe do a destroyed Space Wolf Dreadnought instead that has been ripped open, to sort of tie the thing Magnus is standing on with the rest of the base. As for the body i have been recommended to use a body of a servitor to represent the killed space marine inside of the Dreadnought. But a side question how long do you let your green stuff dry before you start sculpting it?
