Magnus' Golden Armor part 1

Here's the first part of my tutorial about painting Magnus Golden Armor.

Let me know if you like this new angle or you prefer an old one.

Next part of this tutorial will be ready tomorrow.

Tomorrow I'm going on a holiday and I intended to record two more videos today but because of my problems with my computer unfortunately I'm not capable of doing it.  At this moment second part of this video is being edited and it should be ready on youtube around 2am what will make it in total around 30hours of editing videos, and also means that even If I would stay awake till 2am and then start editing next video it would be ready around 9am and my departure is at 7 am. I'm very sorry for that but I guess machines won the fight this time. The good news is that if you will like this new angle then I will finally be able to record videos on my own what means that I will be able to make them more often.

I hope you will enjoy this video

Ps. I will back on Monday and then I will be able to answer all you questions.

Best regards

Maciek

Comments

Thank you for you comment. I will work on that topic and try to explain in more clear way how much I dilut my paints.

Flameon Miniatures

I will make a video about diluting this week, so stay tunned :)

Flameon Miniatures

I agree with both comments, covering the palette while painting if possible would be helpful. I also battled with the light tip brush blending. I suspect we are either not diluting enough or have too much paint on the tip of the brush but more detail on this technique would be helpful. It seems on your videos that the 2 colours begin to blend immediately even after the first stroke, like magic...

I tried your technique of little brush strokes, using just the tip very lightly but i didn't quite get the results I was expecting. Could be dilution of the paint, maybe Im thinning it too much, or some other problem I'm not quite sure? Maybe a more indepth video of this would be useful, I couldn't find one on your feed (only the dots one? although I am still to check them all out). Something that I find useful on Ben Komets patreon is his dilution helper tool so you can see exactly what consistency of paint he is using. You should consider getting one of these it would really help me and I'm sure everyone else. In the near future, when I will buy a new camera I will be able to make it in this way :)

Quality is definitely spot on! If I had a wish-list, I would love a 2nd camera always on your palette :D Do a little picture in picture to see how you play with your brush while it's not currently on camera would be very useful!

Zenon Berg

Thank you, making videos is completely new to me, but I'm trying to make them better and better.

Flameon Miniatures

Massive improvement in video quality. I can actually see what's happening and the constant camera refocusing with horrendous audio is gone.
