Leman Russ

I finally managed to finish Russ. he took me much more then 150h, maybe 200h to finish, and today I spend a whole day on making pictures, but I'm still not happy with the final result. Making pictures to miniatures that are much more 3D and have dynamic pose is much harder then I was expecting.

I can, but this armor is Grey, are you sure you meant Blue, not Gray?

Flameon Miniatures

Can you share the colours used for the blue armour?

Thank You :)

Exquisite painting, keep up the good work!

Arghs I really want to have more time for my painting hobby. 150-200 hours for 1 miniature is really a lot of time. The results are phenomenal. I hope you'll get some more backers to keep you painting as a main job!

cool.. very thanks for your response

I haven't, the only place where you can find a glaze with blue color is on the top of his axe, the place where the patterns are.

Flameon Miniatures

Flameon, have you applied a glaze (cobalt blue) over the sword, the axe and the armour??? Thanks in advance for your response

Ivan Ricardo Cavero de la Peña

Thank You, I worked very hard on him :)

Flameon Miniatures

I was not happy with the pictures, not the miniature ;) It's always a problem because I want my miniatures to looks the same as in real, but its very hard because the light likes to reflects in places that are painted with dark colors, and some parts are painted in bright tones but they are in a shadow. Making good pictures is a lot of hard work, but after having a good sleep, today I think that those 4 photos are looking good :)

Well..... if you really don't like it, I guess I'll be a saint and take it off your hands ;3 - Seriously though, fantastic work. If I was the client, I couldn't ask for better.

Thank You for your advices Thomas :)

Move the camera back and crop later, and make sure you minimise your d.o.f as much as possible. Due to being too close, your camera dof is high enough to put the different depths of the miniature in different focus brackets. Next, I suggest you shoot on black, as your camera may be auto-focusing poorly due to difficulty differentiating the figure from the background (grey on grey) - Hope that helps :)
