Heir to the Throne (One Piece Ace SI) 001

AN: Some lore is changed in this story, and it includes expy's from Soul Calibur & Street Fighter. Imagine Ryu or Ken as Supernovas!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Being a Logia was awesome.
Immune to any attack so long as it wasn't haki infused, a piece of seastone, or a natural counter.
Waking up as Ace at the start of his adventure, and possessing the Mera Mera no-Mi or Flame Flame Fruit made him practically unstoppable within East Blue.
A week had passed since his transmigration, and he had accepted who he was, and what he was about. Presented with a whole new world to explore, and crazy people to meet, Ace decided he was going to find the One Piece. He'd been wondering what the hell that thing was for more than a decade. That thing was some mystery on a level with the DaVinci code by this point. Hence his dream.
During his voyage, he didn't want to burn down his ship, so all he did was play with fire on his fingers, to see how long he could keep a flame going. Devil Fruit users were notorious for running out of stamina, and Ace wanted to mitigate that somewhat with constant practice.
On his first day in One Piece, he could keep a fire going-at the intensity of a candle wick-for about half an hour. Now, a week later, he could maintain this state for three hours. Of course, such an activity was boring, so he would mix it up and shoot fingertip sized fireballs into the water to kill the time. Like this, he had gained a basic control over his power.
The seas were large and lonely, and while he understood the importance of training, Ace had been craving some social interaction. Whether it be a passing merchant ship, marines, pirates, or an island, he would take anything! There was only so much training a sane man could take before he started to go insane!
It was just as he had this thought, that he spotted some conflict on the horizon. A small ship-not much larger than the Going Merry-flying a jolly roger was unloading cannonball shots one after another on a dinghy.
Standing on the rowboat, a beautiful, short-silver haired, busty woman dressed as a seductress, wielding a whip was deflecting the attacks headed her way. Large plumes rose into the water all around her, as they missed. The skill on display reminded Ace strongly of Zoro's skill when he first joined the Straw Hats. Yet even so, she was threatened to be overwhelmed, as musket shot tore away at her boat, and a tuft of her
Now Ace wasn't some savior, or would rush to save everyone he saw, but if he wanted to lay eyes on the One Piece, he would need a strong crew. What better way to bring someone aboard, then to have offered assistance, and saved their life?
Thinking like that, Ace knew he had to close the distance, but wasn't that confident in flying over the open ocean.
‘Ah what the hell, if I'm going to recruit her, might as well look stylish.’
Gathering his courage, Ace climbed the mast of his ship, then jumped up vertically. As he did so, he willed flames to his legs. A sudden jet exploded underneath him, burning his ship by accident.
Ace didn't have time to worry about that, as he rocketed towards the pirate ship. Closing the distance in seconds, he tried slowing down, but found his momentum was too fast!
“Haha, drop the weapon in the ocean, and we'll give you a good time girl!” One guy wearing a captain's hat laughed.
“I haven't had a woman in months, let's get her boys!” Another man wearing a bandana stomped his pegleg on the deck, and grinned with yellowed teeth.
Hearing these statements, Ace decided not to hold back as he skidded across the ships’ deck. Holding out his arms, he clotheslined the pair of hoodlums, knocking them into the ocean.
“Die!” A man wielding a cutlass ran at Ace from behind.
Standing still, Ace let the weapon pass through his back, then flared the flames on his chest, super heating the blade.
“Gah!” The man screamed as the heated metal transferred its energy to his hand, and he fell down holding onto his arm in pain.
Ace tilted his hat up, and grinned down at the guy. Lifting the pirate up with his leg, he did a bicycle kick, launching the guy into the ocean.
Four more men were part of the crew, and looked at Ace like he was some kind of monster.
Taking a step forward, they took a step back. One step after another, and their backs were to the railing.
Unable to take it anymore, one pirate raised a pistol, and shot a dozen bullets at Ace.
“Ahhhh!!!” The man screamed in fury and fear closing his eyes as he unleashed everything in the pistols’ chamber.
Multiple ‘click click click’ noises happened a second later.
“Did, did I get him?” The man opened his eyes, but was terrified when he noticed that everyone who had been standing beside him were tossed overboard.
“You don't mind if I take this, do you?” Ace grinned, and gently pried the pistol out of the pirates’ limp hand.
The man had his mouth open in shock, and was shaking in place.
“Sorry compadre, but the ride stops here.” Ace pointed at the now occupied dinghy that was crowded with damaged & bedraggled pirates.
The man blankly nodded his head, then jumped into the ocean.
Turning around, Ace crossed his arms, and grinned at the beautiful woman he had saved.
“Yo, my name's Ace~ woah!” Ace began, only to feel a heavy weight strike him in the chest, pushing him back.
Having the wind knocked from him, he slid back on the deck as he realized her weapon was inlaid with seastone.
Backflipping from the deck to avoid another strike, he landed on some railing next to the bridge.
“Lady, you're pretty strong. My name is Ace, why don't you join my crew?” Ace ignored the stinging pain on his chest, and flourished his hat with a wide grin.
The whip fell silent as the woman regarded him. Her breathing was shallow, and her chest heaved. Icy blue eyes regarded him from head to toe.
“You like what you see?” Ace taunted.
“I admire your confidence, though I cannot fathom its source.” The lady said in a cutting tone, her accent reminiscent of an old school British woman.
“You must've missed the part where you were suppressed by cannons, and I effortlessly took out the entire crew. They say beauty follows brawn, but no one said anything about brains!” Ace flicked his nose with his thumb, and taunted back.
“It is most generous of you to offer your opinion, unburdened as it is by expertise.” The woman derided.
“Oi, are you calling me stupid?”
“So spirited, like a terrier yapping at a passing carriage.” She continued.
A vein was beginning to throb on Ace's forehead. ‘This bitch!’
Just as he was going to make a move on her, and toss her off his boat, the sound of distant cannon fire came near. Great whooshes of water burst onto the deck a second later.
Turning his head, Ace saw a pair of marine ships closing the distance.
“Stop, pirates! You pair of perverted strippers are hereby under arrest!” A man yelled over a den den mushis speakers.
Ace looked down, forgetting he didn't wear a shirt, he then glanced at the woman, and covered his smile with a hand as she had an icy cold ‘I WILL MURDER YOU’ expression on her face.
That being said, she was still exhausted from all that fighting, and Ace himself maaay have used a bit too much juice flying here, and was sitting at a half tank at the moment. Yeah, maybe he could take out one ship, but two?! He'd be fine since he was a Logia, but most marine ships carried seastone cuffs, and if they nabbed him while he was low on stamina? That would be GG, game over!
“Oi, stripper lady, block the oncoming shots, I've got an idea.” Ace said from the bridge, he then took the helm, and directed the stolen pirate ship away from the pursuing marines.
“The name is Ivy Valentine. Burn that into your juvenile mind, Ace.” Ivy derided as she worked her whip.
Movements slick like a dancer, she glided across the ship, knocking away stray cannonballs wherever she went. Sweat glistened off her fair skin, and her plump-yet muscular-lithe form jiggled in all the right ways. Frankly speaking. Ace was mesmerized by her performance.
“The poor creature suffers from a lack of decorum, one might mistake his impotence for-” Ivy got out, but her insult was halted as the pirate ship lurched.
Standing behind the sail, Ace had turned one hand hands into a jet, and was buffeting the great white canvas with a constant supply of air, whilst he steered the ship with his offhand.
Looking behind him, he saw that the marine ships had broken off their attack, and pulled away.
“Whew!” Ace let go of the wheel, and leaned over the railing, exhausted.
Looking at Ivy, he lazily waved with a grin. “I'd say I got it up just fine.” Ace gestured towards the now somewhat limp sail that had been flapping at full mast a second ago.
Ivy glared at him for a second later, and then she collapsed face first onto the deck.
Ace blinked, almost believing this was an act.
Jumping down to the deck, he flipped her over, and saw a trickle of blood going down her forehead.
‘It wasn't just her hair that was struck…but a bullet grazed her temple.’ Ace thought with worry.
Searching around in a hurry, he found some old clothes, and a water bucket. Wiping away the wound to make sure it was clean, he sighed in relief when he saw it was a very shallow hit. If anything, she was probably just exhausted after continuously blocking cannonballs.
Pressing the cloth into her forehead to aid in the clotting process, Ace then cleaned her off once more, and tied a fresh strip around her head.
He then eyed the whip Ivy had been wielding. Made of seastone, this weapon was practically indestructible. Upon closer examination, he saw that it was actually a metal cord at the base, kind of like something that might go into constructing a bridge. It then had sharpened segments of seastone every half a foot. Placing a finger on it, Ace felt a little light headed, and when he tried to elementalize his body, he discovered it was impossible.
Thankfully, the handle of the weapon was just a steel cable/hilt so he had no problem picking it up. Dragging the whip to the side, he wrapped it around some railing, and then glanced down at the injured beauty. Admiring her snow white peaks, Ace had a wry smile on his face. At that moment, some clouds began to roll in, and blotted out the sky.
Grimacing at the sight, he figured a thunderstorm might be passing by soon. This was dangerous, because he didn't know how sturdy this patchwork pirate ship was. Also, his powers would be significantly weaker in the rain which was pretty bad news as far as he was concerned.
Squinting out into the horizon, he saw an island. Grinning to himself, Ace was glad to finally discover land!
Jumping up to the bridge, he steered the ship towards the island, and once again formed his fist into a flame, to speed up their progress. It was exhausting work, and significantly drained on his stamina, but the thunder clouds brewing in the distance were already starting to make the ocean choppy.
After half an hour of sailing, the ship finally made it to shore, and Ace practically beached the boat, worried that it would drift away in the oncoming storm. The ship getting stuck never crossed his mind, worst came to worst, he could just push it back into the ocean. Dropping the anchor, he looked out into the island, and saw that it was mostly tall cliffs and dense forest. If there was civilization, he saw no signs of it here.
Glancing back at the deck, he saw that Ivy was shivering, and still knocked out unconscious. At that moment, raindrops started to drizzle, then pour. Thunder boomed in the distance, and the white flash of lightning zipped through the sky.
Grimacing at the scene, Ace princess carried Ivy into the ships’ damp, dank, dark hold. It smelt like five guys who hadn't showered in months in there, and the only blanket was worn and barf stained.
Setting the girl down, Ace was going to go rummage around a few barrels to see what he could scrounge up, but as soon as he was going to go away, Ivy unconsciously grasped his arm in a death grip. Her forehead was pale, and sweating, making her look like she had a fever. Ace sighed, and crossed his legs lest his ‘little buddy’ wake up, and poke into her. Ivy was soft, yet firm with well toned muscles, this embrace was both comforting and torturous!
Biting his lip, Ace sighed when he saw the small look of contentment on Ivy's face. She had a toxic mouth, and was pretty bitchy, but her sleeping face was kind of cute.
Laying back, Ace subtly controlled his powers, and let out some heat from his body, and then laid back, closing his eyes. All that work had made him tired, and he soon found himself fast asleep.
The pitter patter of rain, and distant thunder eventually subsided, and Ace awoke to a weight on his stomach. There, sitting on his lap, the silver-white haired woman had pulled a stiletto from her boot, and held it at his neck. Seeing that it was not made of seastone, and that she didn't coat it with haki, Ace could only grin at her useless display of aggression.
Meeting her icy blue eyes, and still somewhat flush face, his grin widened.
“Why Miss Valentine, this is quite forward of you. If I had known you felt this way, I-”
“Silence. You are as tedious as a country ballad, and a paragon of vulgarity. You shall answer my questions, Ace, if that is your real name. And do not even think about drawing your weapon.” Ivy said in a demanding tone, and pressed her well-developed ass onto his crotch, preventing him from moving.
“I can't help it, it has a mind of its own.” Ace held up his hands in faux surrender.
As if to punctuate his point, his crotch began to stiffen up even more, and without any control on his part, rubbed up against her even more.
“Do not test my patience. Answer the question.” Ivy threatened, and asserted even more pressure with her thighs.
“You, ah~, don't get out much, mn, do you?” Ace bit his lips as he shifted his body into a more comfortable position, Ivy's softness was beginning to drive him to madness, and forming complex thoughts was growing more and more difficult.
Ivy silently glared at him. “You wished me to join your crew. To what end?”
“Oh, that! Well, you're pretty strong, and my dream is to find the One Piece, so I figured we could travel together.” Ace replied with a disarming smile.
Ivy's face seemed to darken at that, and her hair covered her eyes ominously.
“That odious thing?! It is my dream to destroy it!” Ivy said, gnashing her teeth. For the first time he had seen her, the beautiful girl had lost her cool, and was openly enraged.
“Huh, for real? Well, I only wanted to see it with my own eyes, I don't see how my dream conflicts with yours.” Ace deflected her anger with a disarming smile, and casual shrug.
“Interesting. Perhaps I mistook you for common riffraff pirate scum.” Ivy quirked an eyebrow, and ever so slightly withdrew her knife.
“I'll have you know, I'm the seediest of scum.” Ace winked at her.
“Rogue.” Ivy scoffed, and rolled her eyes, yet she sheathed her blade.
“If you don't mind me asking, why do you want to destroy the One Piece so badly?” Ace asked in curiosity.
“9 Pieces of 8, gather these mysterious objects at the end of the Grand Line, and the path shall be revealed. It is rumored that the One Piece can grant any wish. My father, an alchemist, went mad in his research, turning himself into a monster, and slaying my mother. I myself did not escape his experimentation.” Ivy scowled, and a second later, detached her gauntleted arm, showing that it was a mechanical prosthetic, meaning she was a cyborg.
Ivy then meaningfully looked into his eyes as if she was asking for his backstory.
“My entire life, I heard legends of the One Piece. Some of my friends wanted to know what it was, but passed away without ever discovering it…” Ace said in a bittersweet tone as he looked up at the cabin ceiling, and sighed. “You could say I want to put some old memories to rest, and meet new friends along the way.” Ace then looked at Ivy and for once, was lacking any bravado.
Seeing this, Ivy's often serious facade softened ever so slightly, and she gently nodded.
“For a sloppy jackaboot, your strength is not low…very well, this lady shall journey with you for now.” Ivy said with a slight upturn at the corner of her lips, then daintily held out her hand.
Ace took it, and kissed the back of her hand like a gentleman.
“Hmph, at least the beast has some manners.” Ivy snorted. “You can sheath your hidden weapon now.”
“Ah, that's no weapon, it's my-”
Ace thought better of it, then scratched the back of his head.
“You know what, since we're not trying to kill one another, why don't you hop off me?” Ace suggested.
“Preposterous, the storm ever rages, and this spot is warmest. I shall not move!” Ivy imperiously declared.
“Suit yourself.” Ace grinned like a wolf in heat, and then leaned back to make himself comfortable.
He had thought sailing the East Blue would be boring, who knew he'd encounter such a beautiful woman so early in his journey?
Every King needed his Queen!
AN: Like usual, I'm thinking of two FML's in this story. Ivy is one, but the 2nd one is open. I'll probably do a poll, but I'm thinking Yamato or Chun Li.
Knowing the two crossovers, who do you think would be some cool ppl to join Ace's crew?
Comments
Well, you could grab Nimona, seeing as she's a shape shifter and would be a fun source of chaos. Also you could use a "dragon" for the crew
Kannon Lawson
As a crossover character... If we're ignoring playable characters: Barbara, she has ship experience. MC could use that right now. But if we're going with playable characters: Amy, she uses the most realistic, and female friendly sword (at least in the latest iteration, and generally still okay in other ones). It annoys me that Ivy is in truth a whip user, so in spite of having a Soul Calibur character we ironically have no swordsman. Her personality isn't full on set in stone either. A bit of the typical arrogance of most female Soul Calibur playable characters. But mostly free for the author go a bit crazy with. Basically an OC, without having to add even more characters to the mix. If we're free to pick male characters: Siegfried, or Mitsurugi. Picking up our Zoro for Ace. Not even gonna try for Cervantes, I get that he's going to be a villain here. Not like he's set for anything else. Even if he's my favorite character to play in Soul Calibur, mostly him, Siegfried, Revenant, or Nightmare in some iterations. Is Revenant going to semi replace Brook btw? PS. Good first chapter, even if Ivy wouldn't be my first pick. Probably Sophitia, Cassandra or Pyrrha. Just for how well they'd work with both the "lucky pervert" parts, the upturned nose, the innocent ignorance, and the sword focused skills. They're also some of the most developed of the female characters in the series - Having been around for so long (except for Pyrrha, but you know, spitting image of her mother, and all that).
