Jedi Insurgency Prestige Class 2 (Poll)
Added 2025-05-06 07:00:05 +0000 UTCAN: I know what I want, and will add 10 votes to the one I do want, but you guys can vote on which one you want, and if it's super popular, I'll go with it. This prestige upgrade won't happen for a while, but I want to get your feedback now.
Sith Mystery: You can find anything anywhere in the galaxy. Any person, planet or object is within your scope. You are more precise than all others at your level, your every hit lands where you intend it to. When others look upon you, you have the aura of a mystical beast, they inherently know you are a predator, and they are prey. Grants the ability: Mark: any target that is marked is cursed to always feel as if they are being watched, because this is truth. A Sith Mystery can watch any marked target as if they are on a computer screen. Marked targets can become enthralled if defeated in battle. One mark can be used every seven days.
Sith Berserker: You are too angry to die. Literally. Any wound that does not decapitate or atomize is nonfatal. You are more durable than all those on your level, only lightsabers or weapons attuned to the Force can harm you. Those who look upon you sense an overwhelming bloodlust, and all but the most brave or stupid are intimidated by your mere presence.
Grants the ability: Regenerate: after each decapitation or atomization, the Sith Berserker may completely regenerate their body within the star system they perished in. Each revival costs -1 intelligence, -1 wisdom .
Sith Alchemist: When others gaze upon you, they know you have committed the worst atrocities, that they might one day end up as a specimen under your microscope. You are more observant than all others at your level, you notice any minor discrepancy, macro patterns, and more. No detail escapes your grasp. You are no longer a student, it is time to choose a major to master. Choose one: Biology, Mechanics, Potions, Artifacts, Necromancy, Architecture. Whichever field is chosen, the Sith Alchemist is a genius of, and receives untold inspiration from the Dark Side of the Force. Unlike a Jedi Scholar, the Alchemist's knowledge is all Force based technology.
Grants the ability: Researcher: Once a month, any experiment or creation with at least a 50% chance of succeeding will yield positive results.
Jedi Watcher:
You can see beyond the unseen, nothing escapes your notice. People, aliens, their thoughts are known to you the second you sense their presence. Any planet you have set foot on is under your jurisdiction. You can sense the happiness levels of that planet at any time, and can see the sins-murder, rape, thievery-that others have committed just by looking at them. Those who gaze upon you know that you are the ultimate law enforcer. The innocent will welcome you with open arms and trust you easily, whilst the guilty will quiver knowing their time has come.
Grants the ability: Watcher: You have a menu profile of every person in the galaxy, in which there is a profile picture, their likes/dislikes, and a summary of their life. You can edit a paragraph's worth of text in a profile once a week. Major edits for powerful people require certain conditions to be met.
Jedi Battlemaster:
The universe is a battle. From the molecules battling in your body to stay together or break apart, to the cells trying their hardest to fight off infection, and keep you alive. You fundamentally have accepted and embraced this fact of life. You are a natural at combat, and can become an expert in any fighting technique after seeing it once. All lightsaber forms are automatically learnt at a basic level. Your ability to teach is almost as effective as your ability to learn, all pupils under you shall receive a 50% bonus to lessons taught. This skill in ‘battle’ includes tactics, strategies, diplomacy, romance, flying a ship or commanding a fleet. Everything is a battle, and you are a master at it. When people look upon you, they see a man. A real, serious man worthy of respect. They want to be you, and fear to upset you lest they arouse your wrath.
Grants the ability: Shatterpoint.
The world is full of divergent paths, and you can see them in real time. If a bridge, a building, a ship or super weapon requires a certain frequency to break, you now know that frequency. There isn't anything you can't break.
Jedi Sage:
You have studied the mysteries of the Force, and received enlightenment. All Lightside Force powers are automatically learnt at a basic level. Those Lightside powers you already know will advance a level. Any text regarding magic or the ancient Force is instantly understood by you. You have seen the unseen, and are confronted by what lies beyond the great unknown. When others look upon you, they see a venerable one possessing great wisdom. They know that whatever you have to say will be worth waiting for.
Grants the ability Foresight: Once per fight, you can see up to one minute in advance. Once per week, you can see an important event pertaining to yourself or a close one. Once per month, you can portend over any topic. Once per year, you can foresee your most likely cause of death. Once per decade, you can force a change in destiny.

Knowing the potential in it, I can't but dream of a Sith Alchemist/Mystery path. But I know that with the way each was described, and the bonus abilities immediately granted - It was gonna be Sage or Battlemaster. And I suppose that is probably for the best, considering his current circumstances. I'd prefer Sage in general, but Shatterpoint is a big bonus. It's one of those super-rare and useful skills, even more rare than a talent for Batttle Meditation. And ppl generally just don't learn these, they are innate. So he'd basically have to get them through the system like this. It's like Horn's innate talent with illusions. Or innate skills with Sith Sorcery.

2025-05-17 16:23:47 +0000 UTCThe Sage and Watcher are good for an individual, but he must restore the order and the bonus to teaching is extremely important. If he was a lone survivor, I would choose Watcher in a heartbeat.

2025-05-06 20:23:38 +0000 UTCWhat's hilarious to me is how the Sith Warrior line is ignored every single time and always sits at 0%, lmao. Personally I have a preference for Sage, but Battlemaster is a good pick too.

DX OP I think you should go with the power that most fits your whole story plan for Corvus's journey and the themes surrounding him and the people closest to him. I really don't think you should put this in our hands. The surprise of his decisions is half the excitement to these stories and everyone else should realize this as well. I will not participate.
