Yes and no. Yes because you would need to ask questions and be able to read and understand Korean to a certain degree in order to figure out ingredients, and no because there are many restaurants that have been adding vegetarian and even vegan options to to their menus. I went to a vegan restaurant while living in Korea and visited various places with vegetarian options. I was on a mostly plant-based diet while living there. Unfortunately, during the times when I got sick, I had to forgo the diet for a pescatarian one because I would get so malnourished. The doctors’ advised me to stop my plant-based diet for a while because unfortunately, I was only eating the same types of food and couldn’t afford to travel almost an hour and half to these vegan restaurants. You can also always cook your own food which is what I did sometimes. I was just lazy and super busy as well so I didn’t cook as much, but trust that you can definitely be Vegetarian/Vegan in Korea; you just need to always be on guard with food and avidly seek out these options/ingredients’ list unlike most places where there’s diet inclusivity almost everywhere.

2024-08-22 07:34:17 +0000 UTCI really enjoyed watching this ep with you. It was so lovely to see how much fun Jimin, Tae and JK were having together. Their laughter was so healing. This ep was perfect example of being able to see why Tae is nicknamed ‘The Happiness Evangilist’ by the members. I believe it was JK who first called him this in their 4th Army Zip ‘BTS Cinema’ content (where they dress up as movie characters… not to be confused with the one they do as Fairytale characters later) as well as also the Run BTS water park outings ep. But you could see how happy he made the other two. To answer some of your questions… This was just after Tae’s Yoo Quiz episode (Ep (210) which I highly highly recommend which was released 6th of Sept. (Full ep with Eng Sub (captions not subbed fully) 👇🏼 https://www.gohitv.com/series/yoo-quiz-on-the-block-s04/2 Which is why the Yoo Quiz gesture is so fresh. In terms of the remixes the one you were thinking of was Hobi’s Dynamite Tropical remix performance. The boys had remixes from the early days like ‘ I need U’ days and they used to be included on their albums too. My most fav of their title track remixes is the DNA Pedal 2 LA Mix. The Fake Love Rock remix and the butter ones tend to be the most well known. They often performed the remixes at the concerts. DNA Remix for those who’ve not heard it.👇🏼 https://youtu.be/Gx9L1nvgGDg?feature=shared What I loved about Tae’s Slow Dancing remix played here was that it was created for Vicnic as a special occasion gift… also it has its own MV that I highly recommend it’s so quirky fun and Artistic it uses unseen footage and clips from Layover spliced with really really fun pop art animation etc. It’s like a fun trip and really matches the remix. It’s a great mood booster. Also I love it cause it’s very Frutiano de Vante. It’s such a hidden gem. I believe a LOT don’t even know of the Official MV to the FRNK remixes existence.👇🏼 https://youtu.be/9a87uoVqTrs?feature=shared Also yes Korean cuisine can be hard for vegans and non-fish eating vegetarians because they use a lot of sea food in the side dishes. For example a lot of shrimp and oyster etc in them. They also use boiled pork in the cooking process of some of the other dishes. And a lot of the sweet and spicy dishes are sweetened with honey which isn’t vegan either. What I also love is how attentive the production crew were, they even brought Tae’s favourite White Russian wine he mentioned in Suchwita to Yoongi as his favourite. (There is a few in the nook beside the wall where Tae was lying down. You see it during the beginning tour) It reminds me of Friendcation and how super quickly they organised that too. The Climbing scene and catching the sandbag and Jimin mentioning he wanted to see Tae grab it was directly connected to Run BTS ep 42. Which is a super iconic ep. Also Tae is severely scared of heights but this was during the long process of applying for SDT, where he was working and practicing on trying to overcome his fear (they have to rappel down buildings etc.) So this was even more meaningful as it was also part of his process. Not many realise how big Tae’s fear of heights was. I’m gonna stop now cause my comment has gotten so un-intendedly long. Looking forward to more of the 3’s happiness and laughter in the next ep. P.s Tae’s ‘shoutout to J-hope’ was sooo adorable and heartwarming. As was Jimin mentioning Hobi. I hope Hobi felt their love. 💜

2024-08-20 23:09:05 +0000 UTCLoved this episode! And despite what others say having V along for 2 episodes it's not an issue. If you love all 7 you enjoy seeing them happy together whatever the situation. In fact I kept thinking of the other members cuz of shows like In the Soop & Bon Voyage. Jungkook was the most baby this episode, normally I don't mention such things cuz I know he wants to be seen more as cool or an adult but he was just too cute like a little kid again. V and Jimin also cute of course. Poor Jimin getting hurt or sick hopefully he will be feeling 100% for the rest of the trip. I'm excited for the next episode!

The sad and actual crazy thing is the way that Jimin is being cut out and edited out by actual delusional shippers, for a show which is his and Jungkooks, like there's posts with over 60k likes removing him.

2024-08-20 10:39:14 +0000 UTCthe vibes compelled changed in this episode, it went from the cute travel show every day life to more of a run bts style episode, I think the addition of a third person did that too, I feel like it should have been a separate thing, but I assume since he only knew about it and decided to come 2 days before they left, they had Jeju already planned out, and you can tell the activities they had planned were all catered to Jimin and Jungkooks interests, and the fact they had 2 of everything

2024-08-20 03:05:56 +0000 UTCIt's hard to be a vegetarian in Korea - because even Kimchi has fish sauce in it, typically (anchovy paste, I believe). I love these episodes - though JK and Tae together are definitely agents of chaos in comparison to Jimin. It felt very much like Jimin was a mother taking his kids to a play-place in order to burn off energy.
