Yeah the 'you need to smile more' comment is kind of infuriating. It just means (most of the time) 'I don't actually care that you're unhappy but seeing you like this makes ME uncomfortable'. It's not 'hey are you alright?', it's 'you need to accommodate me because I don't want to see you like this'. It happened recently to one of my work friends in a meeting we were in. She was frowning a little focusing on what the client was saying. And not once but multiple times, he stopped the whole conversation to be like 'Hey, I'm not giving out to you, can you give me a smile?' or 'hey can you stop looking at me like you want to kill me?' (both dramatic and untrue) and 'unless you have problems with your teeth, you should really try to smile more'. Just aaaah. And because it was a client, neither she nor I could pull him up on it but jfc. I really need men in general to stop using that line!

And at one point, Eunchae is having what looks to be a panic attack. She can't breath and they need to get an oxygen mask. SHE'S way to young at 16 to be put through the kind of pressure and hate that she was experiencing (if there's ever an age that should be exposed to that). And there were people that apparently would want a thirteen year old to have that kind of pressure on her? Nope, I am so, SO glad she didn't get put in Twice and not just because she's absolutely perfect for KIOF.

2024-07-30 07:02:20 +0000 UTCFei is actually Chinese, not Japanese. I think iirc Fei and Jia (also Miss A) were one of the first Chinese idols. Hangeng in Super Junior came first but I do think they were one of the first female idols. The ones you've reacted to already are their biggest songs but if you react to them again, I'd recommend Breath and Only You are the must watches. Touch or Love Alone being the other ones.
