Eces24312

I'm adding here some behind the scenes\ bonus videos of boys planet episodes (only episodes 1-4 so no spoilers here for you). each video was released in a period of time that the episodes I wrote in the title was aired on. Im not sure how to do it (with links or names of videos, because the names are in korean..). I hope links are ok but please tell me if its not and I will delete this comment. Of course I'm not commenting this here for you to do a reaction if you dont want, its just for you to have fun :) it will help you learn some more about the boys, their relationship, and also some bonus videos are really funny, so please enjoy :) (the videos aren't long, between 5 to 15 minutes). There is SO MUCH MORE boys planet content so I dont think this is all but thats what I could find. btw, I heard you weren't feeling well :( I really hope you feel better now. <3 episode 1: bonus parts from the auditions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NA4lffz4I68&t=276s meeting fans for the first time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EaPOr10ugFk&list=PLEh-TaP1a9guIgg-W4R7N4c6UpFPjxXtx&index=20 episode 2 the boys reacting to their auditions (im not sure if it was aired in the episode or not, I think these are bonus parts that weren't aired): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2S7k_fnsXQ&t=5s episode 2 or 3 "Here I am" full performance video!!! ^^: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mjr47ikehQE life in dorms (2 videos): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngAhvAYr4wc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPPtCb4b7F8&list=PLEh-TaP1a9guIgg-W4R7N4c6UpFPjxXtx&index=25 episode 4 "Back Door" - Studio Choom video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_H4Zc-2rFY "Back Door" - Studio Choom behind the scenes (2 videos): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nv5JbmwRTII&list=PLEh-TaP1a9guIgg-W4R7N4c6UpFPjxXtx&index=26 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8uwdGUWzMw&list=PLEh-TaP1a9guIgg-W4R7N4c6UpFPjxXtx&index=27

Excited for you reaction to ep 5 next week! One of my most favorite moment in the show happens on this episode TT_TT <3

I think one of the things you should know, is that live voting in set depends a lot on who is popular with the audience who is attending (Which are mostly koreans). In my opinion, not necessarily the person who did better wins, sometimes it's about visuals and popularity too.

Carolina G

I agree! I also love Jay's high note better in this match. Jay's vocals are always so incredible, omg! I'm also a huge fan of Hui's vocals on the next performances. I love all the main vocals on the show, Seungeon, Taerae, Jay and Hui, they are all amazing!! There's nothing better than being able to enjoy how talented they all are, instead of just hating on one like some people do, lol.

Carolina G

Not to mention, Jiwoong's was the only one to choose to perform first. He was that confident in his group with their ability to pull off an amazing performance. And because they put on such a flawless performance, it made it harder for G-team Back Door to top theirs

Secretninja312

A lot of why I like this series is the friendships they're building... Soon a couple of them will start to show up more, and there are a couple of moments I can't wait to see you react to. I really love, btw, that you're on everyone's side, and how kind you are about people trying to sing things that are outside their abilities or range. You remind me of my own voice teacher in that - she's great at making me feel good trying to meet challenges and grow instead of focusing on whether I sound good enough. About the editing - it's not as clear in this case, but later there's an emotional conflict they dwell on for *ages* that I'm pretty sure was resolved in a few hours at most. It might have been twenty minutes. It's not nearly as bad as American reality TV 🤣 but still frustrating. If there was actually any significant amount of conflict they wouldn't have had to make mountains out of minor incidents when people were exhausted, overwhelmed, and having trouble communicating. But it's honestly not most of the show.

Evan Murray

There are probably a lot of those I never saw, please do share!

Evan Murray

The sweetness stands out above everything else, to me. Even when they're directly competing, no one wants anyone else to fail. No one ever looks happy when someone else's voice cracks! If it ever happened we'd have seen it zoomed in on and replayed 😂 Even though technically they're in competition with each other, the vast majority of the time it feels like each of them is just trying very, very hard to beat his own personal best.

Evan Murray

He's really, really smart about these things. I think his brains get a bit overlooked occasionally because he's also stunning and quite sweet 🤣

Evan Murray

Yes! We only get to see little bits of it, but they really do spend a lot of time teaching the trainees, and they want them to succeed. Many of them have lasting relationships with trainees and you can see them light up when they see them succeed later. We tend to see the harsh moments much more than the heartwarming ones, and it makes the trainers seem awful.

Evan Murray

So happy we have another ep already!!!

Chan Chowder

One thing I feel like a lot of people don't point out is I feel like MNET not only evil edits the trainees but I also feel like they evil edit the trainers. Yes there are some things the trainers say that are questionable but I feel like MNET almost always tends to cut out the parts where they actually give them good feedback and actual advice. And if you see the trainers in a different setting outside the show it's like seeing a completely different person because on the show they make the trainers seem like a**holes when in reality they are some of the nicest people

Connor Reeves

I'm a huge Hui fan but I agree, he was just too heavy on that note. Jay straight up channeled Do Kyungsoo.

CB

Jiwoong was like "I'm going to create Stray Kids" and that's what he did.

CB

Btw, not only they were on m countdown, there's also a special studio choom video for BACK DOOR you can watch!😎 Also, while watching the episodes every week, there were many fun videos that were released on youtube about their lives in the dorms. I dont recommend you to search by your own cause you might see spoilers because its not saying on the titles of the videos for which period of time the videos belong to but i would really like to send you here the names of the videos for you to enjoy (actually they have a lot to do with boys planet's plot, its like because the episodes are too long these videos weren't added into the episodes) i will write it down here when i go back from work. 💗 thank you for the reaction!!!😊

LISA SA

Also, the wrestling thingy you saw in the preview is not in the actual next episode but I'd love to see you react to it. It's on youtube and is very fun (and pretty gay lmao)

Oof Oof

I also preferred Jay's high note to Hui's but I prefer K group's overall performance for Love Me Right, especially the ending part. Also since you saw Jongwoo (the one who stood out in Back Door) you should know that he's in a group now named One Pact alongside Jay, Yedam, Seongmin and TAG . All Boys planet members except TAG who was supposed to be in Boys Planet but did not end up doing it. Their music is amazing and they're all exceptionally talented.

Oof Oof

Omg there were so many sweet moments on this show, especially in a lot of the extra clips they released on to youtube but not in the actual episodes. I still think the best part of the entire show is the friendships a lot of these guys formed. Just a lot of these "bad" moments they put in the show sometimes overshadows the good moments and it's sad to see that's how some of these guys get judged based off of.

Secretninja312

I think Mnet did Burn It Up G Team dirty with the editing--not "evil" editing, per se, but they really sped through their practice without giving any of the trainees any meaningful screen time. I think it was one of the best performances; the vocals were pretty good and the only real mistake was the bent elbow thing, which no one would have noticed had they not focused on it. None of those trainees were particularly popular, but I think some of them were really talented (like Kei with the rapping), and I think they probably would have gained more popularity if the editing had focused on their talents instead of focusing exclusively on the elbow thing.

Dani

Ok, Now just random comments I have on various performance: Burn It Up G-Team, I think it was way unnecessary that MNET hyper-focused on Chen Renyu's arm movement and not being able to get it right. They made it seem like that was a pivotal moment in the choregraphy that would make or break the entire performance when it reality, it was a split second and I feel like 90% of the audience and viewers would've missed it if they didn't freeze on it. Like this guy had probably the strongest vocals in that group (you said his voice is pretty at 13:34) and it was totally brushed over. Also K-team lost a member at some point since there's only 6 members in the group when they originally had 7. They only briefly mentioned it. "Danger" Was a ROUGH one to get through on both teams. The fight was hard to watch but glad they were able to talk it out. I believe I Chan was sick during this time, so he unfortunatly kinda fell apart on stage and was just trying to get through it. He was previously on I-Land (show that created Enhypen) and has released some solo songs since, so he definitely can sing. One thing the show doesn't seem to mention much is just how many and how often the guys were sick throughout the entire show. Like, a handful of the 0 star trainees recieved 0 stars because they were too sick to perform on evaluation day (Ollie was one of them) Back Door - Jiwoong chose the perfect people to form a team, it was perfectly balanced and filled all the roles needed. Also, he KNEW what he was doing with the flash, he didn't have a huge part but he did what he had to to make it memorable and I'm not complaining lol. Also, whoever did Taerae's hair and makeup deserves an award cause Wow he looked extra good here. Hot Sauce- Ollie stole the show for me in this performance. He really gave me NCT Jisung vibes. He's also like Zhanghao's child. Park Hanbin is another INSANE trainee to look out for. Also, Idk if you noticed, but the blonde guy in K-team, Minseo, dissapeared partway through the behind the scenes because he ended up having to withdraw from the show due to injury and they just never mentioned it. Anyways, thanks for the bonus episode! It's nice to watch these episodes again and see the trainees again. Like the part where Gyuvin was like "I want to live with him so I can repay him for everything" I'm just smiling thinking "You can now! YOu're in the same group!"

Secretninja312

Absolutely, it's reality TV - it's all about turning up the pressure in hopes of something dramatic and milking the drama you do get. The vast majority of this show is a bunch of young men being genuinely kind and mutually supportive in a really rough environment. They had to *work* to show anyone in a negative light. No one deserves hate anyway, but especially not for how a TV show portrays them in the interest of driving up conflict and tension for ratings 😥 Seriously, almost everything we see is incredibly sweet. Think about the pressure cooker they were in, and how amazing it is that they were almost unfailingly kind anyway.

Evan Murray

Exactly it's always easy to judge a situation you weren't involved in. You need to realize that we don't know all the details and shouldn't judge

B2023316

Yes I made a comment that’s a literal novel about this also.

B2023316

That's exactly why I try not to judge and see every situation from both sides. It's a very stressful environment and we don't have the full context of what is happening behind the scenes.

Sir Austin

One thing that I think we as viewers need to remember is that, these guys are in a very high stress, high pressure, fast paced situation where they're put together in these groups and have a limited amount of time to prepare, what we're seeing on screen (what guys said/acted, the tears, the conflicts etc) isn't always the full story and sometimes, the feelings and emotions get the best of us. It's easy to say "This guy should've said this, or that guy shouldn't have acted like that, etc" but we're not there in that moment nor are we always getting the full context since MNET does like to cut/paste clips together or leave things out. So it's easy to sit here and judge ones character based on a 5 sec clip but we really shouldn't judge any of these guys based on how they act or reacted on this show. Sorry, I felt the need to say this because I felt so bad for a lot of these guys, any time any of them are shown in a negative light, they're suddenly bombarded with hate online. It was MESSY when the show was ongoing.

Secretninja312

OMG I just finished episode 3 and was bummed that I was going to have to wait another week when I saw you just dropped ep4. That was a wonderful suprise. Thanks!

Secretninja312

This was the second survival show I’ve watched. I’ve now watched more than I care admit. One thing that always gets me worked up is the evil editing. It’s worse in some shows more than others, but one thing I’ve discovered is it’s almost always the foreign ones that get evil edited. It’s probably because they’re easier targets. Like whether that be making it seem like they don’t wanna do do anything. Cutting out a speech they write completely by themselves and read. Making it seem like they’re fat shaming another boy. But the thing that’s worse is people believe it. People know about evil editing yet when it does happen many people won’t hesitate to bad mouth the boy or boys that are the target of it. Even when their times where a fan will say no that was mistranslated or when the show ends and the boy talks about and they say no that’s not what happened. But people still don’t wanna believe it. Like everyone says actions speak louder than words and by falling into this trap of evil editing you’re telling them that it’s ok. The thing we can do is take it with a grain of salt and try to learn what really happened. Don’t bully the boy for what the show makes it seem like happened.

B2023316

omg!!! thank you!!
