Day 3 of my TWICE Week! I am pre-recording all videos. Not sure if this will start next week for YouTube or if I need another week. I'm going to try to record a lot more this week for both YouTube & Patreon.

2024-05-06 18:44:20 +0000 UTCFun fact about Breakthrough: it has a sister MV, Happy Happy, which was filmed on the same set and released on the same day. Happy Happy is a very bright song with a cute MV, while Breakthrough is a more electronic song with a darker MV and was probably the second-most mature concept we'd seen from Twice at that time (following the elegant "The Best Thing I Ever Did"). My theory, which I think a lot of other Onces share, is that this dual release was an experiment to gauge support in a more mature concept for Twice as the girls outgrew some of their earlier concepts. 2019 was a big transition year for Twice--just compare 2018 releases "What is Love" and "Candy Pop" with 2020 releases "I Can't Stop Me" and "Better"--and I think this "soft launch" of a more mature concept helped management test whether fans would be receptive to new styles of music and music videos. Breakthrough had about two times as many Youtube views as Happy Happy, which I think provided JYP Entertainment with some confidence that a more mature Twice would be well-received (as they have been!)

My fav out of the ones you reacted are probably breakthrough and perfect world (that transition during the last chorus is insane)
