I had the same feeling as you when Bang PD was speaking about each of the members, and wanting to hear more than "he was handsome" about Jin. I know he adores all the members and means nothing by it, but it would have been nice to hear something...more? Also, so glad that the T&D team really pulled for Jimin to make the group, and that Bang was open to listening!

2023-12-27 05:44:21 +0000 UTCEverything you said about them being loved and winning the first rookie award it's true, but they weren't talking aboutconfusing times for that, they were expecting "too much" and that's why facing the reality of struggle financially, physically and mentally was such a hard thing to do, they were confused about what to do, how to feel about not being able to grow more high... That's why Yoongi said "Idk if our ambitions were too big or we couldn't just accept the reality". The company was struggling and everything was about hoping for better results, but Danger didn't make it :( And everything has consequences for their mental health too, HYYH series are such a significant moment of their youth to them and Jimin even has tattoos of two inspiring songs "Nevermind" and "Young Forever", he lately tattooed "Youth" behind his ear too. I personally find it so hard and I cried so much realizing that with this interviews๐๐

I'd like to think if they had launched something like this now with all the pandemic army that joined us it may have been even bigger & even more talked about.

2023-12-21 08:46:56 +0000 UTCComing back to comment on something after having the thought re-watching it with you.... another difference between BangPD and other company's management... here they talk about how originally they were thinking of making a "hip-hop crew" (rappers/producers) and then they decided that it would be better to present BTS as an idol group. I think that's also a key difference. Normally, companies woudl say "We want to create an idol group, let's audition some talent for it" whereas BangPD met the rapline and said "I want to create music with these guys - what format/market should we do that in?" It was centered not on the producing music for a specific business/industry they wanted to enter, but rather on finding the best delivery method for the music and art they wanted to create.

I also teared up more than once during this. I remember the first time i watched the video of Hobi's birthday i bawled. It was so sweet and nice that the company did that for him and when his dad came on and said his message to Hobi, I can't. Hobi lost it and i lost it. Anyway, i am loving it so far and it is nice to see the guys tell the story. On to the second episode.

2023-12-21 02:25:13 +0000 UTCfun fact about youtube premiere.. yes it didn't exist back then, but funnily enough in 2020 with bts's ON mv, it was the first time they used the premiere feature (as it was pretty recent at the time if i can remember) and they broke the record for the most views during a premiere! they still hold that record today with the butter mv :3

That one scene about Jin's military hair omg I didn't even recognize that was him. I'm sure they or bang pd realized jin was more than just wwh. Also some of the people bangpd said wanted to keep jimin was the training & development of bighit. They talk about it here if you want to watch on your own or react to. This project aims to redefine the relationships between art and music, the material and immaterial, artists and their audiences, artists and artists, theory and practice. Connect, BTS may be described in terms of a collective curatorial practice by curators around the world who resonated with BTS' philosophy. As told due to covid they had to cancel lots of things. There was a offical connect bts site but I think it's gone now . Here is a link that explains everything and has links that bts did interviews with the artist everyone should watch it if you haven't.
